Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.共有資源信号を送信するゲートウェイと、衛星トランスポンダと、少なくと も1つのサブスクライバユニットとを有する衛星通信システムにおいて、前記衛 星トランスポンダによって中継される前記共有資源信号の強度を制御するための システムであり、 前記衛星トランスポンダを介してサブスクライバユニットで前記共有資源信号 を受信するための受信手段と、 各サブスクライバユニットで、前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号強度を 測定するための測定手段と、 各サブスクライバユニットで、前記信号強度の測定値を前記ゲートウェイに送 信するための送信手段と、 前記信号強度の測定値に基づいて、前記衛星トランスポンダによって送信され る前記共有資源信号のパワーを調整するための調整手段と、 を具備するシステム。 2.前記測定手段は前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号対ノイズ比を測定す るための手段を含む請求の範囲第1項に記載のシステム。 3.前記調整手段は、 所定のしきい値よりも小さい値をもつ前記信号対ノイズ比の測定値を廃棄する ための廃棄手段と、 各サブスクライバユニットに対して、前記信号対ノイズ比に基づいて、前記共 有資源信号の流束密度に対する平均値を算出するための算出手段と、 最大の平均値に関連するサブスクライバユニットを選択するための選択手段と 所定の共有資源信号の流束密度で前記選択されたサブスクライバユニットのア ンテナを照射するために、前記衛星トランスポンダによって中継された前記共有 資源信号のパワーを調整する手段と、 を含む請求の範囲第2項に記載のシステム。 4.共有資源信号を送信するゲートウェイと、前記共有資源信号を中継する衛星 トランスポンダとを有する衛星通信システムにおいて、 前記衛星トランスポンダを介して前記共有資源信号を受信するための受信手段 と、 前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号の強度を測定するための測定手段と、 前記共有資源信号の強度を制御ずるために、前記信号強度の測定値を前記ゲー トウェイに送信するための送信手段と、 を具備するサブスクライバユニット。 5.前記測定手段は、前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号対ノイズ比を測定 するための手段を含む請求の範囲第4項に記載のサブスクライバユニット。 6.共有資源信号を送信するゲートウェイと、この共有資源信号を中継するため の衛星トランスポンダと、少なくとも1つのサブスクライバユニットとを有する 衛星通信システムにおいて、 前記衛星トランスポンダによって中継される前記共有資源信号の強度を制御す る方法であって、 (a)各サブスクライバユニットで、前記衛星トランスポンダを介して前記共 有資源信号を受信する工程と、 (b)前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号強度を測定する工程と、 (c)前記信号強度の測定値を前記ゲートウェイに送信する工程と、 (d)前記信号強度の測定値に基づいて、前記衛星トランスポンダによって中 継された前記共有資源信号のパワーを調整する工程と、 を具備する方法。 7.前記工程(b)は、 (i)前記受信した共有資源信号に対する信号対ノイズ比を測定する工程を含 む請求の範囲第6項に記載の方法。 8.前記工程(d)は、 (i)所定のしきい値よりも小さい値をもつ前記信号対ノイズ比の測定値を廃 棄する工程と、 (ii)各サブスクライバユニットに対して、前記信号対ノイズ比に基づいて 、前記共有資源信号の流束密度に対する平均値を算出する工程と、 (iii)前記最大の平均値に関連する前記サブスクライバユニットを選択す る工程と、 (iv)所定の共有資源信号の流束密度で、前記選択されたサブスクライバユ ニットのアンテナを照射するために、前記衛星トランスポンダによって送信され た前記共有資源信号のパワーを調整する工程と、 を含む請求の範囲第7項に記載の方法。
