Modular electrical connection unit
The invention relates to a modular electrical connection unit, in particular a central connection unit in the automotive industry.
The present invention relates to a modular connection unit used as a knit.
EP-A-363804 discloses an electrical connection unit, the electrical connection unit of which is disclosed.
The air connection unit is an elongated frame that accepts matable electrical connectors, the frame
Slidable along the elongated opposing side walls of the frame along the length of the frame and on the first connector.
Connected to a pair of slides, a frame and a slide having a cam surface which engages with the projections
The slide is moved to the first position to fit the connector by moving from the open position to the closed position.
Direction to move the connector from the closed position to the open position.
And an operation lever for moving the slide in the opposite second direction.
This known connection unit comprises a pair of mating connectors extending over the entire length of the frame.
Includes Kuta only. Especially in the automotive industry, the end users of such units
The time has passed, from one model to the next model, the number of wires, that is, the number of connector poles
End-users must frequently redesign connection units, as they may change.
Produce results that must be done.
Accordingly, the present invention provides an electrical connection unit as shown in the second paragraph of this specification.
By knitting, the partition wall extends so that the frame intersects the vertical frame
Divided into a series of compartments, each slide has a series of cam surfaces
Each of which is associated with a respective one of the compartments and is engaged with a respective projection of the respective first connector;
Each compartment has means for supporting an individual second connector therein, thereby providing a connection.
The connection unit is formed by connecting one to n pairs of matable connectors, where n is the number of compartments.
Can be used for
Therefore, the number of connector positions provided can be adjusted to meet the changing requirements of the end user.
It can be arbitrarily changed. In terms of versatility, compartments for a given frame length
Since the number of rooms can be maximized by sizing the compartments,
The projections are provided on a short surface that is not long of the connector. one
In the example, each connector has 18 poles.
As an advantage, the frame can be mounted in a specific location
For example, a mounting device that can fix it to a support such as an interconnect box
You may have.
Lever as a partial cover to cover the compartment when it reaches the closed position
Working dimensions, so that the wires extending from the connector
To extend to For this, the lever is pivotally connected to the frame
Slightly thinner than the rotating part, including the rotating part and the free end protruding from the rotating part
Includes lever arm. In this case, the lever arm must be
Preferably, it has a honeycomb structure.
Further, EP-A-363 804 discloses a frame for an electrical connection unit.
A lever and lever assembly is disclosed, wherein the lever comprises a lever or a frame.
Of the lever between the open position raised from the open position and the closed position where the lever is close to the frame.
The frame has a rear end rotatable on the frame for movement, and the lever has a lever at the front end.
Latch having a rear portion connected to the rear and a front portion connected to the rear portion by a curved portion
Arm having an arm and a forwardly projecting latch for latching the lever in the closed position.
Latch shoulders, the latch shoulders engage by pushing the front of the latch arm backwards
Can be released.
In known assemblies, the frame has a first electrical connector therein, and a lever is provided.
The second electrical connector so that the first electrical connector and the first electrical connector are in a mating relationship within the frame.
Operated for cam operation. The second electrical connector connects to the terminal of the second connector
Bundled electric wires
A cover containing a guideway for In particular, no such cover is provided
In the case of a connection unit, the front of the latch arm prevents
It is important to be structured. In addition, the front of the latch arm is
It must be easy to operate while protected.
Therefore, according to the present invention, there is provided an electrical connector having a frame and a lever as described above.
In the data assembly, the front of the latch arm extends from the latch shoulder between the front side walls of the lever.
Upright, and the front end wall of the lever extends across the side walls to reach the front of the latch arm.
It is characterized by having a notch that allows access.
Therefore, the front of the latch arm is completely protected by the side and front walls of the lever.
However, the notch on the front of the latch arm allows easy operation with finger pressure
it can. To achieve such actuation, the free end of the front is preferably a lever
The notch extends to a height position substantially coinciding with the top wall, and the notch also extends to that height position. Even better
Preferably, the latch arm forms a reinforcing corrugation and the front of the latch arm is curved
It can be firmly elastically displaced around the part.
Preferably, means are provided for detachably supporting the lever in its open position.
Should be provided with means for accurately guiding the lever between the open and closed positions.
No.
The connectors are usually identified by color so that the compartment receives connectors with the correct color code.
Polar means should be provided to ensure acceptability.
As described herein, the first connector is supported in the compartment in the mating ready position.
