Holes 81 are formed at intervals and dimensions corresponding to No. 3.
Its length is shorter than the metal plate 60, and its edge 82 has a curved shape. Since the metal plate 80 is placed in direct contact with the circuit board as described later, the mounting area required for the circuit board can be minimized by shortening the length of the metal plate 80.

00 is arranged along a surface 102 opposite to the connector mounting surface 101. The rivet 50 projecting from the main part 15 of the board-mounted connector 10 is placed so as to pass through the rivet receiving hole 120 of the circuit board 100 when the main part 15 is provisionally placed. Hole 8
1 (see FIG. 4). Thereafter, the tip of the rivet 50 is pressed and deformed so as to be crushed. (A schematic shape before being deformed is shown by a virtual line in FIG. 5.) As a result, the housing 20 and the circuit board 100 are
The housing 20 is clamped and fixed between the circuit boards 80 so as to be pressed toward the circuit board, and the connection portions 32 of the contacts 30 are elastically contacted with the pads 110 of the circuit board 100 to realize stable electric connection. As can be understood from FIG. 5, the rivet 50 can be selected according to the thickness of the circuit board 100. That is, a relatively short rivet 50a is selected when the rivet is mounted on a relatively thin circuit board 100a as shown in FIG. 5A, and a relatively long rivet is mounted when the rivet is mounted on a relatively thick circuit board 100b as shown in FIG. 5B. 50b is selected.

That is, according to this configuration, even when the housing 20 or the circuit board 100 slightly warps, the housing 20 can be reliably pressed against the circuit board 100 over the length direction. Further, the reinforcement of the connector is made firmly by the metal plates 60, 80, or the metal plate 70 in addition thereto. Such a configuration is particularly effective in a configuration in which the contact 30 accommodated in the housing 20 elastically contacts the pad 110 of the circuit board 100 as described above.

An elongated housing mounted on the circuit board so as to be fitted with a mating connector from a direction perpendicular to a board surface of the circuit board, and the circuit engaged with a top surface side of the housing. A board-mounted connector having a fastening means for tightening the housing so as to press the housing toward a board, wherein a through hole is formed at a plurality of predetermined positions along the entire length of the housing, and the elongated body is arranged along a top surface of the housing. A first metal plate, and an elongated second metal plate disposed on a surface of the circuit board opposite to the mounting surface of the board-mounted connector, wherein the fastening means is provided in the through hole. The housing is received and engaged with both the first metal plate and the second metal plate, whereby the housing is sandwiched between the first metal plate and the second metal plate together with the circuit board. Board mounted connector, characterized in that it is configured to be fixed to.
