Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To route grommets mounted on a group of electric wires which are routed from a roof to back door glass and a back door body frame, using only one grommet, without having to bypass the group of electric wires connected to the brake lamp of a back door body frame at the back door glass. SOLUTION: A branch guide tube 20 is mounted to protrude from the outer periphery of the prescribed position of a main tube, at which a hollow part serves as a main electric wire inserting passage and whose ends are opened, a branch electric wire inserting passage formed out of the hollow part of a branch guide tube communicates with the main electric wire inserting passage, and a closed part provided with a plurality of through-holes 20b through which electric wires are passed one by one is formed at the top end of the branch guide tube, so as to comprise a structure such that the branch electric wires can be passed one by one. A group of electric wires routed from the roof to the back door of a hatch back-type vehicle whose back door glass opens/closes independently from the opening/closing of its back door is inserted into a grommet 10, a group of main electric wire routed from the roof side to the back door glass is inserted into the main electric wire inserting passage, and the branch electric wire passage is routed from the roof side to the body frame of the back door.

With the above configuration,
Two different types of grommets 3 and 6 are required, which increases the cost, and requires a lot of trouble to attach these grommets to the electric wire and to attach the grommets to the back door glass 2. Furthermore, the electric wire Wa becomes long because it bypasses the back door glass 2, and there is a problem that the cost increases accordingly.
