Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating head which prevents the formation of a fine gelatinous material formed within the coating head, becoming the cause for the foreign matter in a coating film, removes the gelatinous material and suppresses the formation of the dry film of the coating liquid in a lip part. SOLUTION: The coating head 1 for a slot coater which executes coating by discharging the coating liquid from a slit part 13 of two sheets of metal molds 11, 12 facing each other consists of a coating liquid supplying part, a manifold part 18, the slit part 13 and two side plate parts 15 for fixing the metal molds. These side plate parts 15 are provided with a coating liquid supply port 16 and a coating liquid discharge port 17. The coating liquid discharge port 17 is closed and the coating liquid is discharged from the slit part 13 when coating. The coating liquid discharge port 17 is opened and the coating liquid is discharged so that the discharged coating liquid circulates again to the coating liquid supply port 16 in the case of non-coating. The material constituting the manifold part 18 and slit part 13 of this coating head 1 consists of a fluororesin.

In order to prevent this foreign matter from entering the coating liquid,
As shown in FIG. 7, measures have been taken to send the coating liquid from the coating liquid supply tank (21) to the coating liquid supply port (16) of the coating head (1) via the filter (19). Since the coating liquid path after filtering is long, a gelling reaction occurs in the transport path, so that measures such as frequently disassembling and cleaning the coating head (1) have been taken.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the coating head of the present invention discharges a coating liquid from a slit portion (13) of an upper die (11) and a lower die (12) facing each other, and applies the coating liquid to a substrate to be coated. A coating liquid supply unit (2) for supplying a coating liquid shown in FIG. 2;
(1) to uniformly discharge the coating liquid shown in (1)
8) a slit portion (13) for discharging the coating liquid, and two side plate portions (15) for fixing two opposing upper molds (11) and lower molds (12); Each of the sections (15) is provided with a coating liquid supply port (16) and a coating liquid discharge port (17). At the time of coating, the coating liquid discharge port (17) is closed so that the slit section (13) can be opened. The coating liquid is discharged from the discharge port by discharging the coating liquid and opening the coating liquid discharge port (17) at the time of non-coating, and further, for example, as shown in FIG. The coating liquid which is sometimes sent to the coating liquid discharge port (17) once enters the coating liquid supply tank (21) of the coating liquid supply section (2), and performs a filtering process again through the filter (19), and then supplies the coating liquid. So that it is fed into the coating head (1) through the mouth (16) Der those with circulation structure. In this case, it is preferable that the installation position of the filter (19) be as close to the coating liquid supply port (16) as possible, because it is effective for suppressing gelling of the coating liquid.

As described above, since the coating liquid is circulating in the coating head (1) even during non-coating, the coating liquid does not stay inside the coating head (1), and thus the coating is not performed. Defects and the like can be prevented in the film, and waste of the coating liquid can be prevented.

As an example of the circulation path of the coating liquid at the time of the non-coating, as shown in FIG. 3, the coating liquid discharged from the coating liquid outlet (17) is not returned to the coating liquid supply tank (21). It can be fed into the coating liquid supply port (16) and the coating head (1) through the filter (19). In this case, it is desirable that the installation position of the filter (19) be as close to the coating liquid supply port (16) as possible as in the above example, because it is effective for suppressing gelling of the coating liquid.

As described above, the jig (3) for preventing drying of the lip portion is loaded on the lip portion (14) of the coating head (1), so that a small amount of the coating liquid can be applied even when the coating is not performed. And a small amount of the discharged coating liquid is received by a metal roll (24), and the coating film on the metal roll (24) is scraped by a coating scraping doctor (25). The cleaning is performed by spraying the solvent onto the lip (14) from 27), and the lip (14) can be completely prevented from drying. That is, defects in the coating film can be prevented.

In addition to the above, it is also possible to treat the surface with a fluorosilicone coating agent. For example, a solution diluted in a solvent such as isopropanol is applied to a metal surface and dried to react with the metal surface to form a uniform film. In other words, these materials are coupling agents that have a fluorine group and react with the metal surface,
It works effectively.

As described above, the present invention has the following effects. That is, in a coating head for a slot coater that discharges a coating liquid from slit portions of two opposing dies and coats a substrate to be coated, a coating liquid supply unit that supplies the coating liquid, a coating liquid is supplied. It is composed of a manifold part for uniformly discharging, a slit part for discharging the coating liquid, and two side plate parts for fixing two opposing dies, and a coating liquid supply port and a coating liquid discharge port for each of the side plate parts. The coating liquid is discharged from the slit portion by closing the coating liquid discharge port during coating, and the coating liquid is discharged from the discharge port by opening the coating liquid discharge port during non-coating, and the coating liquid is discharged. Since the coating liquid is circulated again to the coating liquid supply port through the filter, the coating liquid does not stay inside the coating head even during non-coating. Can be suppressed, and Disposal can be eliminated.

Further, since the material constituting the slit portion excluding the manifold portion and the lip portion is made of a fluororesin or a fluororesin-coated material, the coating liquid stays in the coating head or may be conveyed when the coating liquid is conveyed. It does not cause reactions such as polymerization due to shear stress that occurs,
Therefore, the formation of a fine gel-like body in the coating liquid is completely eliminated, and as a result, the contamination of the coating film with foreign substances can be eliminated.

Further, a small amount of the coating liquid which is sent from the manifold portion to the lip portion is discharged and received, and a metal roll for receiving the coating solution, a coating film scraping doctor for scraping the coating film of the roll, and a tip of the lip portion are cleaned. A lip drying prevention device equipped with a solvent supply nozzle inside, when uncoated,
By loading into the coating head, drying of the lip portion can be suppressed even during non-coating, so that the cause of generation of foreign matter in the coating film can be eliminated.
