2. Description of the Related Art In general, since a load from a toothed pulley is applied to a tooth rubber of a toothed belt, the tooth rubber is made of an elastic elastomer material, and the surface thereof is covered with an elastic tooth cloth. . Further, this tooth cloth is generally so-called rubberized, which is immersed in a resorcinol-formalin-rubber latex (RFL) liquid and subjected to an adhesive treatment, and then covered with rubber by a soaking treatment or a spreading treatment. It is.

However, in a toothed belt using a tooth cloth rubberized after the above-described bonding treatment, the rubber coated by the rubberization of the tooth cloth covers the surface of the tooth rubber and is exposed to the outside. As a result, the friction coefficient between the toothed pulley and the toothed pulley increases when the belt is driven, generating noise due to friction when the toothed belt and the toothed pulley mesh with each other, or abrasion of the rubber covering of the tooth cloth caused by the friction. There is a problem that the powder is scattered, and it is unsuitable for use in a place where the noise and the scattering of the rubber powder are disliked. For example, OA such as a printer
(Office automation) It is difficult to use for toothed belts for equipment and other general industries.

On the other hand, JP-A-7-190150 and JP-A-8-35540 disclose that a tooth cloth covering tooth rubber is only bonded with an RFL solution, and that the tooth cloth is not rubberized thereafter. The use of cloth is described.

More specifically, the solid content of resorcin-formaldehyde resin on tooth cloth is set to 30 to 50% by weight.
Alternatively, by adjusting the amount to 20 to 50% by weight, the opening surrounded by the thread of the tooth cloth is made small and difficult to expand, thereby preventing the tooth rubber from being exposed on the surface of the tooth cloth. This is to prevent scattering of rubber wear powder when the belt is used. Further, since there is no rubber coating rubber on the tooth cloth, the solid content of the RFL liquid on the surface of the tooth cloth comes into contact with the toothed pulley, thereby reducing the friction coefficient between the tooth cloth and the toothed pulley. It is intended to reduce noise to prevent the generation of noise and to eliminate the problem of scattering of the coated rubber wear powder.

However, an RFL is required for the tooth cloth.
Even if only the processing is performed, the tooth tip surface, the tooth bottom surface, and the tooth side surface are hardened by this, so that the meshing noise with the pulley during belt running becomes large, and the meshing during belt running is not necessarily performed. Since the rotation is not performed smoothly, the rotation transmission error between the driving pulley and the driven pulley also increases, that is, there is a problem that the rotation of the two pulleys is likely to be out of synchronization.

As described above, since the tooth tip surface and the tooth side surface are not covered with rubber or other elastomer and are made of fabric such as woven fabric, the coefficient of friction is small, and the meshing with the pulley becomes smooth. In addition, the meshing noise is reduced, and the rotation transmission error between the pulleys is also reduced. In addition, the fact that the bottom of the tooth is made of a fabric such as a woven fabric means that a cushion effect is obtained by the compressibility of the tooth cloth itself when the tooth tip of the pulley hits that part, The beating sound between the attached belt and the pulley is reduced. Further, distortion of the root portion of the belt at the time of the engagement is reduced by the cushion effect.

Another aspect of the present invention relates to a toothed belt in which a fabric such as a woven fabric forms a tooth tip surface, a tooth bottom surface, and a tooth side surface as described above. Is the eye of the cloth (a gap surrounded by the yarns that make up the cloth.
same as below. ) Partially, and the tooth rubber hardly penetrates into the eyes of the tooth cloth at the bottom of the tooth. As a result, while ensuring the adhesive force between the tooth rubber and the tooth cloth, the friction coefficient on the tooth side surface is reduced to make the engagement with the pulley smooth, and the beating function is given to the tooth bottom to reduce the above-mentioned tapping noise. In addition, it is possible to prevent distortion of the tooth root.

As described above, according to the present invention, in a toothed belt in which a tooth cloth is provided on the side of the belt where teeth are provided, a cloth such as a woven cloth is used as the tooth cloth. ,
Since the dough forms the tooth apex surface, the tooth bottom surface and the tooth side surface, the meshing with the pulley becomes smooth, which is advantageous for reducing belt noise and rotation transmission error, and
The cushion effect is obtained on the tooth bottom, which is advantageous for reducing the tapping sound at the time of the meshing, for reducing the distortion of the belt root, and for prolonging the life of the belt. In particular, the tooth rubber partially penetrates into the eyes of the tooth cloth at the tooth tips and the tooth side surfaces, and the tooth rubber belt where the tooth rubber hardly penetrates into the eyes of the tooth cloth at the tooth bottom, or the tooth rubber. If the degree of penetration of the tooth cloth into the eyes of the tooth cloth is gradually reduced from the tooth tip to the tooth bottom, the above effect can be obtained while securing the adhesive force between the tooth rubber and the tooth cloth. Obtainable.
