面付近の温度が低い環境が出来上がるため、室内温度環
境の快適さが損なわれていた。また、人体を暖めるとい
う点から見て不要な空間である天井付近をより暖めてし
まうため、省エネルギーにも反していた。本発明は、こ

口から延長ダクト(3)に切り替え、延長ダクトを経由
して足元吹出口(4)より温風を吹き出させる。この
時、必要であれば、効果的に送風ができるようダクトの
圧力損失を考慮し、本体の送風ファンの静圧を高くでき
るようなファンを選定しておくか、ダクト部に中間ブー
スターファンを設置しておけば効果的である。さらに、
エアコンによる暖房が、通常、湿度の低下を招き、乾燥
しすぎた室内環境をつくり出すのを防ぐため、足元吹出
口(4)の手前に、加湿器を組み込んでもよい。また、
床面に広く温風を拡散させるため、足元吹出口(4)の
形状を、通常の吹出口から変更し、床敷用のマットに送
気穴付送気細管を組み込んだ、穴あきマット状足元吹出
口(5)としてもよい。また、通常の壁掛型ルームエア
コン室内機の吹出口に、接着あるいは粘着もしくはボル
トによる固定等により吹出口を覆うように取り付けるこ
とができるダクト装着部(6)を取り付け、このダクト
装着部(6)の先に延長ダクト(3)及び足元吹出口
(4)を接続してもよい。この場合にも、上記同様、中
間ブースターファンの延長ダクト部への設置や、足元吹
出口(4)の手前への加湿器の組み込みも効果的であ
