Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain simply a good temperature distribution during room heating by making the front side of the lower face of a machine main body a cool air outlet opening and the rear side a hot air outlet opening and providing a discharge shutter which opens and closes selectively the cool air outlet opening and the hot air outlet opening and providing on the hot air outlet opening side a duct which extends along the wall face to near the floor. CONSTITUTION:During room cooling in summer, a room heating outlet opening 19 is closed with an outlet shutter 16 pushed in from the front to the rear. During room heating in winter, the room heating outlet opening 19 is opened with the outlet shutter 16 pulled out from the rear to the front. By operating an indoor machine the air flowing in from a suction opening 14 is heated by a heat exchanger 12 and this air flows from the room heating outlet opening 19 via a blower 13 and passes through a duct 22 and then the warm air from a second outlet opening 23 is discharged from near the floor 21. By this discharge the warm air with a smaller specific gravity becomes a convection flow in which warm air flows near the floor, giving an ideal space heating with the warm air directed to the feet of a person in the room.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, this type of wall-mounted indoor unit has been mounted on a wall 1 as shown in FIG.
There is the main body 2 of the indoor unit hanging above, and the suction port 3
The indoor air that is drawn in passes through an indoor heat exchanger 4, passes through a blower 5 such as a sirocco fan, and is blown out from a lower outlet 6. The air outlet 6 is provided with one or more flaps 7 for changing the airflow direction during cooling and heating, and is operated in the vertical direction, and during cooling, the flap 7 is oriented horizontally in the direction of the solid line arrow. The air is blown out horizontally to distribute it from the top to the bottom depending on the specific gravity of the air.On the other hand, during heating, the flap 7 is raised in the direction (dotted line) and the air is blown out in the direction of the dotted arrow, which is the direction of the dotted arrow, to distribute light air specific gravity. In order to deal with this, the air was blown out as downward as possible.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In such a conventional configuration, when cooling, the specific gravity of the air is heavy, so natural convection provides a generally good temperature distribution, but during heating, the specific gravity of the air is light, so the temperature distribution is downward. Even if the air is blown out, the direction of convection is immediately upwards in the room, and the blower 5 used in a normal indoor unit generally has a flow rate of 7 m'/mi.
Since it is an air blower with an air flow rate of n~10/ml, the distance of the air blowing is short, around 2 m, and there is a problem in that the temperature distribution during heating is not satisfactory.

EXAMPLE An example of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. A heat exchanger 12 for passing a refrigerant and a blower 13 for indoor air circulation are provided below the heat exchanger in a main body 11 of a wall-mounted indoor unit installed on the indoor side surface of a wall 1o. A suction port 14 is provided above the front side of the main body 11, and an opening 15 which is located below the main body 11 and opens the entire lower surface of the main body 11 has a substantially semicircular shape. A blow-off shutter 16 is arranged in the longitudinal direction. This blow-out shutter 16 has an opening 15
By taking the handle 17 and sliding it forward and backward, the front side is configured as a cooling outlet 18 and the rear side is configured as a heating outlet 19. The blow-out shutter 16 is held by rail-shaped holders 20 (dotted lines in FIG. 2) provided at both ends of the opening 16.
is held by. A thin duct 22 corresponding to the area of the heating outlet 19 is connected to the heating outlet 19 side, extending along the indoor wall 10 to near the floor 21 below. A second air outlet 23 is provided below the duct 22 and serves as an air outlet into the room during heating. Further, the connection port of the heating outlet 19 of the duct 22 is provided with a connection spacer 24 made of rubber to prevent wind leakage and to cushion the connection. Note that when the blow-off shutter 16 closes the cooling air outlet 18,
The protrusion of the handle 17 is inserted into the type 25 provided on the front of the main body to prevent it from slipping off.In the above configuration, during summer cooling, the blow-off shutter 16 is moved from the front to the rear as shown in Figure 1. Push it in to close the heating outlet 19. When the indoor unit is operated, the air flowing in from the suction port 14 is cooled by the heat exchanger 12.
The air is blown into the room through the air blower 13 and from the cooling outlet 18.

Since the specific gravity of the air is heavy due to this blowout, the living space is cooled by convection as shown by arrow A. Next, during winter heating, the heating outlet 19 is opened by pulling the outlet shutter 16 forward from the rear and inserting the handle 17 into the form 26 so as not to slip down. When the indoor unit is operated, air that flows in through the suction port 14 is heated by the heat exchanger 12, passes through the blower 13, and is then sent to the heating outlet 19.
Warm air flows through the reduct 22 and is blown out from the second outlet 23, and the second outlet 23 blows out from a position close to the floor 21. Since the specific gravity of the air is light due to this blow-out, a convection occurs in which hot air flows near the floor 21 as shown by arrow B, and ideal foot heating of the living space is performed.

The duct 22 is made of a thin and lightweight resin material such as Styrofoam, and is attached to the wall 10 with double-sided adhesive tape, and may be attached as desired or removed depending on the arrangement of the furniture. . When you remove it,
Push the blow-off shutter 16 to the rear side and cool the air-conditioner blow-off port 18
What is necessary is to blow out warmer air, and the point is to use the duct 22 arbitrarily.0 Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention provides a main body housing a heat exchanger and a blower, and a main body housing a heat exchanger and a blower. The main body has a suction port provided at the upper part, the front side of the lower surface of the main body is a cooling air outlet, the rear side is a heating air outlet, and a blower shutter for selectively opening and closing the cooling air outlet and the heating air outlet. Furthermore, the heating outlet is provided with a duct extending along the wall surface to near the floor, and during heating, air is blown from the heating outlet through the duct near the floor. The temperature distribution is such that convection flows from the bottom to the top, resulting in a very good temperature distribution throughout the room, resulting in foot heat heating that is close to the ideal during heating. In addition, since ducts are easy to install, you can install ducts that match the indoor furniture and interior of your home, or if installation is not possible, use warm air from the cooling outlet without installing ducts. This makes it possible to make arbitrary selections, such as blowing out air-conditioning and heating under the same conditions as conventional use, and has the advantage of being able to obtain a wall-mounted indoor unit that is suitable for actual use. It is something.
