Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurring of galvanic corrosion of a bearing when a large amount of electric current is passed and to improve maintainability, by forming a through-hole in a front lid of a shaft box, securing a slip ring abutting to an end surface of an axle to this through hole, and slidingly bringing a ground brush contact with the outer end surface of the slip ring. SOLUTION: A through hole 8 is formed between bolts 7 of a front lid 6 of a shaft box, and a slip ring 9 is mounted to the outside of the front lid 6 of the shaft box by a bolt 10. A ground brush 11 is slidingly brought into contact with the outer end surface 9b of the slip ring 9 to constitute a ground device 15 with the slip ring 9 and the ground brush 11. Current from various electric apparatuses is guided to an axle 2 through the ground brush 11 and the slip ring 9, and flows to a running rail, a return line, through the axle. Therefore, the current is guided to the axle 2 directly without passing through a bearing 5. Thus, a fear of occurring of galvanic corrosion on a bearing is eliminated even when a large amount of electric current is passed, and maintainability can be improved.
