Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the filtering effect of a prefilter for air conditioner by forming the prefilter in a pleated type and, at the same time, to constitute the prefilter in a easily cleanable structure. SOLUTION: Since a prefilter 1 is formed by alternately providing a plurality of thin-wall sections 2a on the front and rear surfaces of a frame body made of a synthetic resin in the inserting direction and thermally melt-sticking a net-like filter to the frame body, the thin-wall sections are alternately bent and form pleates when the prefilter 1 is inserted into filter insertion guides 3b provided to the air inlet of an indoor unit. し易くするため面状に形成されており、吸込口3aの面
積が限られているため、フィルタの面積を広くできず、
フィルタ効果を高めることができなかった。そこで、フ
ィルタ効果を高める、交互に折り曲げて鋸歯状に形成し
たフィルタを所定の枠体内に収納してプリーフ式にした
ものが考えられているが、掃除がし難いという問題があ
った。
