Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the filtering effect of a prefilter for air conditioner by forming the prefilter in a pleated type and, at the same time, to constitute the prefilter in a easily cleanable structure. SOLUTION: Since a prefilter 1 is formed by alternately providing a plurality of thin-wall sections 2a on the front and rear surfaces of a frame body made of a synthetic resin in the inserting direction and thermally melt-sticking a net-like filter to the frame body, the thin-wall sections are alternately bent and form pleates when the prefilter 1 is inserted into filter insertion guides 3b provided to the air inlet of an indoor unit. Therefore, the filtering effect of the prefilter 1 is improved when the prefilter 1 is attached and the prefilter 1 can be flattened and can be cleaned easily by straightening the thin-wall sections 2a when the prefilter 1 is removed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pre-filter for an air conditioner, and more particularly to a pre-filter type air conditioner having a high filter efficiency and easy to attach and detach.

Description of the Related Art As shown in FIG. 5, a pre-filter 1 of a conventional air conditioner is obtained by integrating a net-shaped filter 1a made of synthetic resin with a frame 2 made of synthetic resin by heat fusion or the like.
