Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paint which gives a glaring feeling and visually high grade fabric tone to a coated film by using a pile having at least one plane portion in circumferential surface thereof. SOLUTION: A pile has a length of 0.1-2.0 mm, a width of a plane of a circumferential surface thereof of 10-40 μm and a shape with a polygonal cross section. An example of a composition containing the pile comprises 15-50 wt.% of a polyurethane, 20-80 wt.% of a solvent and 5-30 wt.% of said pile. The materials of the pile are nylon 6, etc. The pile is preferably colored in a color tone of black, dark blue or dark green for light reflection but the color is not limited to these colors. Light is reflected at a specific angle depending on an entrance angle of the light, so that a glaring feeling with a metallic tone is obtained by transfer of visual point or circling of a vehicle. The numerals 2, 6, 7 and 8 are a finisher, a pile, a plane portion and a coated film, respectively.

However, the above method also has a problem. In other words, since the undercoating is performed in a two-coat system in which a topcoat is performed with a paint containing a pile,
Productivity is low, and after undercoating, overcoating is performed in an undried state, but the timing shift, or unevenness of the thickness of the undercoating affects the brushing properties of the product, making it difficult to achieve desirable brushing coating. . Further, since the pile used is usually cylindrical, as shown in FIG. 5, the light is scattered on the curved pile-side peripheral surface with respect to the incidence of the light, so that the pile is not visually conspicuous and has a good appearance. However, there is also a problem that a sufficient effect (soft feeling) cannot be exhibited.

It is important that the paints of the present invention contain a specific shape of the pile, thereby making the piles in the paint film brilliant and visibly more fabric-like to the paint film. It gives a soft feel (like a woven fabric). Therefore, there are no particular restrictions on the other components constituting the paint such as resin, colorant, solvent, dispersant, and other ingredients commonly used in paints.

It is important that the pile 6 used in the present invention has at least one substantially flat portion 7 on its peripheral surface as shown as an example in FIG. It is preferable that the cross section of the pile has a polygonal shape such as a triangle and a quadrangle, and forms a substantially prismatic shape. The length of the pile is, for example, 0.1 to 2.0 mm, and the width of the plane portion is 1 mm.
0-40μ is preferred. If it is less than 10 μm, the predetermined reflection characteristics cannot be obtained, and the reflection characteristics will be close to those of a conventional column-shaped pile. If it exceeds 40 μm, the pile will be too large and a fine glittering feeling will not be obtained.

The material of the pile used in the present invention is not particularly limited, but preferred materials such as nylon 6, nylon 6, 6 and the like, rayon, polyester and the like are more preferable because they are easily available. No.
The production is performed by adding a colorant to a resin, forming the colorant into a rod shape by extrusion molding or the like, and cutting the resin into the above size. In addition, the pile is preferably colored in a deep color such as black, dark blue, or dark green for light reflection, but is not limited to these tones, and may be a bright color such as red or a color tone of the material itself. It is good also as thing of.

When the coating composition of the present invention is used in the above-described mixing ratio, a coating film having a predetermined thickness can be formed with one coat, so that the productivity can be significantly improved as compared with the conventional two-coat method. Furthermore, since there is no soft undercoat layer, the pile does not sink and is excellent from the viewpoint of pile raising. Of course, an undercoat layer can be formed as needed. Even in that case, the effect of the pile having the flat portion is not impaired.

There are no particular restrictions on the coating method,
Spray painting is preferred. The above-mentioned triangular-shaped piles having a denier value are particularly suitable for spray coating. When a pile having a triangular prism shape exceeding the above denier value is used, the flow in the paint passage of the spray gun may be deteriorated and clogging may occur, which is not suitable for mass production. From such a viewpoint, the width of the plane portion of the pile is preferably 10 to 40 μm.

In the coating film of the product coated with the paint of the present invention, the pile is wetted by the paint as a whole, and faces each other and / or the edges come into contact with each other to form a raised shape, or It supports the raised pile down and is joined by paint at intersections. Therefore, the pile is clearly recognized in the coating film in appearance, and a preferable brushed coating can be formed.

In order to form such an excellent appearance, it is important that the pile has a flat portion on the peripheral surface, and the shape is not limited to a triangular prism. And a curved surface portion, for example, may be a cross section as shown in FIG. 6, or may be a surface that changes gradually such as a spiral in the longitudinal direction, and may be a specific incident light beam that is not a simple cylindrical surface. In this case, a reflected light beam (band) may be formed in a predetermined direction.
