A floating island in which a vertical through-hole is provided in an island and an air lift is installed at a position underwater, the floating island being moored in a stagnant water area, and the air lift is operated to stop the air through the vertical through-hole from the bottom of the island. A water purification type floating island characterized by rising to the top of the island while taking in water and circulating it to the waterside of the island.
