The conventional example is called a so-called caulking type band. This type of band has ears (plastically deformed portions) in addition to claws and holes. In this case, the band body is wrapped around a member to be tightened such as a boot, a hook is hooked into a predetermined hole, and then the ear portion is plastically deformed by a jig to reduce the circumference of the band body, thereby tightening the band body. A banding force is applied to the band body for the member.

In the case of the above-described caulking-type boot band, even if the ear portion is plastically deformed to tighten the band body to a desired circumferential length, springback occurs even if the ear portion is somewhat larger. Therefore, there is a problem that it is difficult to maintain the binding force. Further, in order to give the ears rigidity sufficient to maintain the binding force, it is desirable to increase the thickness and width of the ears as much as possible. In that case,
When viewed as a whole band, the thickness and width of the portion other than the ear portions become excessive, which causes an increase in weight and cost and makes processing difficult. In addition, when the rigidity of the ears is increased, the force (assembly load) required for plastically deforming the ears is increased, which causes deterioration of the assembling workability. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a boot band which does not loosen the binding force after assembling and has good assembling workability.

The legs 31, 32 of the plastic deformation portion 30 are plastically deformed by a jig (not shown) (for example, a pliers-like tool or an automatic caulking machine) as shown in FIG. By doing so, the winding diameter, that is, the circumference, of the band body 11 is reduced, and the outer overlapping portion 21 moves relative to the inner overlapping portion 22 in the direction indicated by the arrow A in FIG. At the moment when the band body 11 reaches the predetermined circumferential length, the convex portion 56 enters the receiving hole 50, and the vertical wall 55 of the convex portion 56 moves in the thickness direction with respect to the locking portion 51 of the receiving hole 50. By doing so, the locking portion 51 and the vertical wall 55 engage with each other to complete the assembly.

Since the vertical wall 55 of the projection 56 extends substantially perpendicularly from the surface of the band body 11, the band body 11 does not move in the loosening direction after assembly. Therefore, the vertical wall 55 can be engaged with the locking portion 51 with a minimum necessary tightening stroke, and the binding force of the band body 11 can be prevented from being loosened after assembly.

Since the boot band 10 receives the binding force after assembly by the locking portion 51 and the vertical wall 55, no binding force acts on the plastic deformation portion 30. That is, the plastically deforming portion 30 may have such a rigidity that the outer overlapping portion 21 is pressed against the inner overlapping portion 22 so that the locking portion 51 and the vertical wall 55 do not move in the thickness direction. Therefore, the thickness and width of the plastically deformable portion 30 can be smaller than those in which the plastically deformable portion (ear portion) itself receives a binding force as in the related art. For this reason, it is possible to prevent the plate thickness and the plate width of portions other than the plastically deformed portion 30 from being excessively excessive, and to contribute to the reduction of the weight and the cost of the boot band 10.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the band body does not move in the loosening direction after the vertical wall is engaged with the locking portion. For this reason, the binding force given to the band body at the time of assembling is maintained even after assembling, and an excessive assembling force is not required. In this boot band, the binding force of the band body after assembly is received by the vertical wall of the projection and the locking portion, so that the binding force does not act on the plastically deformed portion after assembly. Therefore, the plastically deformed portion only needs to have rigidity enough to press the outer overlapping portion so that the vertical wall and the locking portion do not move in the plate thickness direction. ) The thickness and width of the plastically deformed portion can be smaller than that of the plastically deformed portion itself. For this reason, it is possible to avoid excessive thickness and width of the portion other than the plastically deformed portion, which can contribute to reduction in weight and cost of the boot band.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, the portion near the first end of the band body can be reliably prevented from being separated from the inner overlapping portion by the separation preventing fixing portion by caulking or the like. Engagement with the locking portion is also reliably maintained. According to the third aspect of the present invention, the vertical wall having the sawtooth cross section and the engaging portion come into engagement with each other at the position where the band body is tightened to a desired peripheral length, so that the assembling workability is good. is there.

According to the fourth aspect of the present invention, since the binding force is received by the vertical wall of the high-rigidity convex portion and the locking portion, the convex portion is strongly pressed by the outer overlapping portion when tightening the band body. Even if it is done, problems such as deformation of the convex portion can be avoided. According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, since the corrugated portion is crushed in the longitudinal direction of the band body, it is possible to keep the protruding height after plastic deformation low.

According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, the stroke until the band body is tightened to the predetermined circumferential length can be managed according to the position of the stopper wall, so that the band body is not excessively tightened. The stroke can be easily controlled during tightening. In addition, since the second end abuts against the stopper wall, the configuration of the band body is not complicated.

According to the seventh aspect of the invention, when the band body is tightened to a predetermined circumferential length, the rising wall abuts against the stopper wall and the vertical wall engages with the locking portion. For this reason, the stroke until the band body is tightened to the predetermined circumferential length can be managed according to the position of the stopper wall or the rising wall, and the band body can be prevented from being excessively tightened. Since the rising wall is formed at a position different from the second end, even if the rising wall is provided, the shape and position of the second end are not restricted.
