Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing device, which can smoothly and directly receive any playing ball sent from different directions, requires no tank for storing a ball temporarily, and is compactly formed so that the cost for the device itself or the space on which the device is set can be reduced. SOLUTION: A rotary drum 40 is arranged in a housing 31 so as to transfer a ball touching one side of a peripheral surface in one direction, and another ball touching the other side of the peripheral surface in the other direction. Moreover, polishing materials 50, 51 are arranged so as to be along one side or the other side of the peripheral surface of the rotary drum 40 keeping a gap for holding a playing ball, and polish the ball by touching the ball transferred with the rotation of the rotary drum 40.

[0003] This lifting and polishing apparatus is generally erected in the center of a gaming machine island, and is formed by rotatably inserting a screw member into a lifting pipe extending from a lower island to an upper island. The ball was polished by mixing a granular abrasive and a game ball molded with a synthetic resin into the pumping pipe and stirring and mixing the abrasive and the ball by rotating the screw member. .

[0004] Further, unlike the above-mentioned lifting polishing apparatus, a polishing apparatus which is not used as a lifting apparatus is also known. For example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 56-31218 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-1930079 are disclosed.
There is a thing as shown in the gazette.

In the former publication, a ball is taken into a groove of a rotary drum, the ball is rotated by the rotation of the rotary drum, and a part of the peripheral surface of the rotary drum is covered with a polishing cloth. There is disclosed a technique in which a polishing cloth is rubbed against each other for polishing. The position where the sphere was taken in the rotating drum was located only on one side of the drum, and a sphere supply gutter was provided at this position.

However, in the above-mentioned hoisting and polishing apparatus, since the apparatus is also used as the hoisting apparatus, the apparatus becomes considerably large, requiring a large installation space on the gaming machine island, and the assembling work is also required. There was also a problem that it became large and cost increased. In addition, there has been a problem that the replacement work becomes large if the replacement has to be performed due to a failure or a service life.

In addition, the ball and the granular abrasive must be separated from each other after polishing. In addition to a special separating mechanism for this purpose and a mechanism for distributing the polished ball, the separated abrasive is transported again. Many bulky mechanisms such as an abrasive recovery mechanism that circulates to the lower end of the pipe have been included. Therefore, these mechanisms have a large number of components and a complicated overall configuration, which has been a major obstacle in reducing costs.

[0009] The polishing apparatus described in each of the above publications can be installed compactly in a gaming machine island, and it is good if the game balls to be polished are sent to the polishing apparatus from one direction. When sent, the ball must be temporarily stored in one place before being introduced into the polishing apparatus, and then sent to the polishing apparatus. Therefore, there is a problem that a storage tank must be provided separately from the polishing apparatus, and the cost increases.

[0010] In particular, in the polishing apparatus described in the latter publication, there is no problem in the case where game balls are sent out one by one to the ball launching device, but in the case where it is interposed in a part of the ball circulation path in the game machine island. However, since the polishing processing speed is slow, there is a problem that the ball may be clogged in the middle of the course or the supply of the ball to the gaming machine may be insufficient. Further, there is a problem that a polishing apparatus must be provided for each gaming machine, and polishing apparatuses for the number of gaming machines are required, resulting in an increase in cost.

The polishing apparatus (30, 30A, 30
B) is separated from the ball lifting mechanism, and requires a considerably large installation space over and under the gaming machine island (10) as in the conventional lifting and polishing apparatus (30, 30A, 30B). It can be installed in a suitable place in the gaming machine island (10). Further, since the spheres and the particulate abrasive are not mixed, a special mechanism for separating the polished spheres from the abrasive is not required.

According to the polishing apparatus (30B) described in [4], since the rotary transfer means (60) comprises the endless rotary belt (60) disposed so as to extend substantially in the horizontal direction, the gaming machine is provided. Even when the space in the vertical direction is scarce in the island (10), it can be installed in a narrow height and width. Further, by changing the overall length and the width of the rotating belt (60) without changing the height and width of the apparatus, the polishing ability can be freely set as appropriate in accordance with the amount of spheres to be processed.
