Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an excellent sitting feeling and a comfortable touch with a low cost by permitting a cushion body to be in a bi-folding state with a core material at an inner side and holding a frame supporting the cushion body between them. SOLUTION: A hard chip urethane layer 23 is formed by being hardened in a state where it is pressurized against the inner side of a bisection-formed containing part 17 and a surface is covered by a slab urethane 19 with cushion property. A cushion body 5 is the bi-folded one consisting of a front cover part 5a and a rear cover part 5b and a recessed part 12 coinciding with the shape of a frame 4 is formed at the inner sides of the front and rear cover parts 5a and 5b. An upper end edge 13a and a left and right side edges 14 are integrated and made to be in a bag-shape in the upper part 13 of the cushion body 5. The recessed part 12 is also formed at the inner side of the bag-shaped part. The left and right side edges of the front and rear cover parts 5a and 5b and a lower end edge are separated in the intermediate part 15 and the lower part 16 of the cushion body 5, which are continued from the upper part 13, the housing part 17 communicating with the bag-shaped part is formed between the both.

A method of manufacturing such a cushion body (5) will be described with reference to FIGS. First, a slab urethane (19) obtained by cutting urethane foam having cushioning properties into a sheet is laid in a molding recess (18a) formed on the upper surface of the lower mold (18) shown in FIG. Recess (18a) of lower mold (18)
Has a shape corresponding to the shape of the front side of the backrest (1), and includes a slab urethane previously cut into a desired contour shape.

Next, a chip raw material (20) in which a urethane chip material and a urethane-based adhesive that reacts with water and heat are mixed well, is evenly sprayed from above the slab urethane (19) to form a chip. A layer of the raw material (20) is formed. Examples of chip materials include Scott foam chips such as cushioning materials, cleaners, filters, etc., chips with skins such as urethane block epithelium and bottom skin, mold foam chips, mold vents and burrs, and three layers for vehicles. It is preferable to use one or several mixtures of cloth-attached chips, such as cutting materials for a laminate, which have a relatively high density and are ground to a particle size of about 5 mm.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since a used urethane chip can be used as the core material of the cushion body, the material cost can be reduced and the core material can reduce the load of the occupant. While maintaining sufficient strength to withstand, it has appropriate elasticity different from that of a rigid body, and can cooperate with urethane foam on the surface to provide a comfortable seating feeling and feel. Also, since the core material is cheap and lightweight,
The core material can be made thicker, and the elasticity of the core material and the urethane foam on the surface cooperate with each other, so that a high-class feeling can be obtained.

The frame can receive the cushion body and the load applied thereto, and the front surface of the frame is covered with a core material made of hard chip urethane, so that the presence of the frame can be felt when leaned. In other words, the feeling of hitting the frame can be eliminated, and a good contact feeling can be obtained in combination with the cushioning property of the urethane foam on the surface.
