2. Description of the Related Art In general, there has been known a double-type writing instrument having a plurality of writing objects such as a ball-point pen mounted thereon so that a writing tip can be selectively protruded and retracted from an axis. In addition, as a retracting mechanism of the writing tip portion of the double-type writing instrument, a knocking type, a slider type that alternately slides a slider protruding from the side of the shaft cylinder of the writing instrument, and a cam cylinder having an inclined surface are rotated. Various types such as a cam type are known. The conventional retracting mechanism has a built-in return spring for returning the writing body to the inside of the barrel, so the structure is complicated and the number of parts is large,
There is a problem of high cost. Further, a liquid applicator using a white pigment to correct a typographical error or the like is known. Since the white pigment and the solvent are easily separated from each other, this type of liquid applicator has a flexible container in which ink, balls and the like are sealed, and it is necessary to shake and agitate the liquid applicator before use.
Further, the ink is ejected by pressing the side surface of the container. However, when the remaining amount of the ink becomes small, even if the side wall of the container is strongly pushed, the ink is not ejected.

On the other hand, conventionally known oil-based ballpoint pens have a high viscosity of several thousands mPa · S or more of ink, so that the resistance to the rotation of the ball when the ink flows out of the pen tip is high. There is a drawback that writing is bad because of large size. In addition, there is a problem in that the amount of ink flowing out from the tip during writing is small, there is a dent phenomenon, the writing line is uneven, the writing density is low, and a high writing pressure is required. As an improvement of the oil-based ballpoint pen, recently, an intermediate viscosity region between the above-mentioned water-based and oil-based (from several mPa · S to several thousand mPa
A ballpoint pen for aqueous ink called medium viscosity using the ink of S) has been developed. This is a ballpoint pen using a relatively low-viscosity water-based ink having a characteristic of lowering the viscosity by the rotation of the tip ball and smoothly flowing out the ink, that is, a so-called shear thinning property. However,
Since this ink has a drawback that the ink easily dries, a cap for sealing the writing tip is usually required. or,
The amount of outflow of ink increases, and it is necessary to increase the diameter of the ink storage tube to increase the filling amount of ink in order to extend the writing life.

As an improvement of the oil-based ball-point pen, a ball-point pen using a low-viscosity oil-based ink having excellent drying resistance is conceivable. However, the amount of the ink flowing out is increased and the ink storage tube is required to extend the writing life. It is necessary to increase the diameter of the ink and increase the filling amount of the ink. Also, due to the low viscosity of the ink, if the tip side faces downward and there is a gap between the tip ball and the tip holding portion, the ink will bleed (DC) or the amount of ink flowing out during writing will increase. There are drawbacks.

On the other hand, a medium-viscosity water-based or low-viscosity oil-based ballpoint pen having a shear thinning viscosity has a large degree of freedom between writing bodies when mounted on a double-sized writing instrument having a normal thickness due to a thick ink container tube. The protruding tip of the writing body is not smoothly centered on the tip hole of the barrel, and the operation is hindered, so that the writing tip cannot appear or disappear. Therefore, there is a disadvantage that the shaft cylinder becomes extremely thick in order to enable the operation and the usability is deteriorated. Also, if the tip of the cursive writing is inserted into a pocket or the like while protruding, there is a risk that ink will be sucked out and the clothes will be stained.

[0006] Since both the above-mentioned medium-viscosity aqueous ink and low-viscosity oil-based ink have low viscosities, there is a phenomenon that the ink easily flows backward or direct current. If the ink causes backflow or direct current, there is a risk of soiling clothes and the like. In addition, there is a drawback that handwriting is apt to occur due to drop or knock impact. In addition, a medium-viscosity aqueous ballpoint pen is usually provided with a liquid-tight follower such as a grease-like translucent non-drying substance or silicone rubber at the rear end of the ink storage tube. That is, reduction of evaporation from the gap between the ball and the holder may be considered.
For example, if a solvent having a considerably low vapor pressure, such as an oil-based ballpoint pen, is mainly used, evaporation of the ink need not be considered.

Next, the ballpoint pen writing body 1a mounted on the compound writing instrument of the present invention will be described. Note that the ballpoint pen writing materials 1a and 1b have the same configuration. For example, the first type is a ballpoint pen for correcting typographical errors, the second type is black for writing,
It is a blue pen etc. In addition, the ink applied to the writing pen for correcting typographical errors includes a white pigment such as titanium oxide and polymer hollow fine particles and a gelling agent as described above,
It is a white pigment ink formulated to prevent sedimentation of the pigment and not to impair the fluidity. The viscosity of the ink was 10,000 cps (E-type viscometer, 1 rpm, 25 rpm).
° C) or less, there is a tendency for pigment settling, and
If it is 0 cps or more, a problem occurs in ink ejection. Therefore, the viscosity of the ink is set in the middle range, and although it has a high viscosity, it has a shear thinning property, so that the coating can be applied with a high concealing property in combination with the decrease in the viscosity by the rotation of the tip ball. The ink applied to the ballpoint pen writing material is a medium-viscosity aqueous, low-viscosity oil-based ink having a so-called shear thinning property.

As shown in FIG. 7, the tip 11 is caulked so that the tip ball 12 is rotatably held with the tip ball 12 substantially in contact with a seat having a channel into which ink can flow. . A spring 14 is inserted into the inner hole of the chip 11, and the rear end of the shaft 13 of the chip is appropriately caulked so that the rear end of the spring 14 cannot be pulled out. (Caulking portion 13a) Also, it is extremely important that the tip ball 12 comes into close contact with the inner surface of the tip holding portion for drying the writing tip and preventing direct current of the low-viscosity ink. Grinding of the inner surface to improve the surface roughness of the inner surface and close contact accuracy by caulking, and secondary plastic working to increase the caulking accuracy are considered.
In addition, a surface treatment or the like is taken into consideration for the surface in close contact with the tip ball. The close contact of the tip ball 12 with the inner surface of the ball holding portion is extremely important for drying the writing tip and preventing direct current of the ink even if it has a high viscosity like ink for correcting typographical errors. (In order to increase the amount of ink discharged, the ballpoint pen writing for correcting typographical errors is set to have a larger retreating dimension of the tip ball compared to the ballpoint pen writing for writing.)

FIG. 10 to FIG. 12 show another embodiment of a ballpoint pen writing body. As shown in the drawing, the tip 90 of the ballpoint pen writing body 80a is swaged so that the tip ball 91 is rotatably held with the tip ball 91 substantially in contact with the seat having the channel portion 92 into which ink can flow. I have. As a method for pressing the back surface of the tip ball, as described in the first embodiment, a spring is provided in the inner hole of the chip and the tip ball is pressed at the tip, or the back surface of the tip ball is pressed against the front surface of the spring. In some cases, a piece having a rod shaft portion is interposed. According to the embodiment, since such members are omitted, the cost is superior. Also, in the case of high viscosity such as ink for correcting typographical errors, there is a possibility that the flow of the ink is hindered by the interposition of a spring or the like (the gap for the flow of the ink becomes small). The form becomes dominant.

Further, the tip ball 91 is moved to the ball holding portion 90a.
The close contact with the inner surface is extremely important for drying the writing tip and preventing direct current of the ink even if the ink has a high viscosity. (The ball-point pen writing body for correcting a typographical error is set to have a larger retreat size of the tip ball than the ball-point pen writing body for writing in order to increase the ink discharge amount.) In this embodiment, the tip 90 has Although a resin molded product excellent in spring property, abrasion resistance and ink sealing performance is assumed, when the tip 90 is made of metal, the surface roughness of the tip inner surface holding the tip ball 91 is particularly large. Consideration is given to the grinding of the inner surface in order to improve the close contact accuracy by caulking, and secondary plastic working to increase the caulking accuracy. In addition, a surface treatment or the like is taken into consideration for the surface in close contact with the tip ball.

The front end of the joint 81 is formed with a front shaft 82 for pressing the shaft 90b of the tip 90 and a rear shaft 83 for pressing the front end of the ink storage tube 94. A valve chamber 85 in which a ball valve 93 is loosely fitted is provided behind an inner hole 88 of the front shaft section 82, and a tapered or spherical ball valve receiving seat 86 and a shaft are provided behind the valve chamber 85. A guide hole 87 provided eccentrically to the center is provided, and an inner hole of the rear shaft portion 83 communicates with an inner hole of the ink storage tube 94. Also, the valve chamber 85
A groove 89 is provided on one side of the inner wall so that the ink 95 flows in the axial direction. The ball valve 93, which is loosely fitted in the valve chamber 85, forms an ink flow path in a state where the tip 90 is directed downward and is biased toward the rear end of the tip shaft portion 90b. The ink 94 flows into the chip inner hole through the groove 87 and the ink flow path through the guide hole 87. On the contrary, in the upward state, the ball valve 93 comes into close contact with the ball valve receiving seat 86, and the function of preventing the backflow of ink is obtained. This ink backflow prevention mechanism is not always necessary because the ink has a high viscosity and the tip ball is pressed so as to be in close contact with the inner surface of the ball holding portion of the chip. This is effective when the diameter of the accommodation pipe is large. In addition, since the ink has a high viscosity, the flow of the ink by the ball valve may be hindered, so that the clearance between the ball valve and the valve chamber and the sufficient ink flow path to the rear end of the chip are formed. Done. For this purpose, the ink backflow prevention mechanism is provided without being limited to the above structure.

First, the first embodiment will be described. Center axis 30
When the rear shaft 39 rotates in one direction, the sliding members 48a,
The projections 51a, 51b of 48b slide along the cam groove 35 with the rotation of the rotating shaft 33, and one of the sliding pieces moves forward and the other retreats, and the writing tip of the writing body on the forward side. The part can be made to protrude from the front end port of the front shaft 58.
Also, even if the ink storage portion of the ballpoint pen writing body is not deformed, the writing tip portion can be shifted in the centripetal direction with respect to the tip opening, and the tip shaft changes to a long cylindrical shape until it reaches the tip opening. As a result, the writing tip smoothly comes out of the tip end of the front shaft 58 without hindering the operation.

When the ballpoint pen writing body 1a protrudes, the distal end of the clip 44 is engaged with the edge 30e of the center shaft as shown in FIG. 1, so that the clip cannot be inserted into a pocket or the like. Make a state. Next, when the rotary shaft 33 is rotated, the sliding body 48a is retracted, and the writing tip of the ballpoint pen writing body 1a is immersed in the front shaft 58, and the sliding body 48a is rotated.
b moves forward. At this time, the writing tip is brought into a portable state accommodated in the tip shaft 58, and the clip for that state is at the position shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, and can be easily inserted into a pocket or the like. When the rotating shaft 33 is further rotated, the sliding body 48a is further retracted, and the sliding body 48b is further advanced, so that the writing tip of the ballpoint pen writing body 1b projects from the tip opening of the front shaft 58. At this time, the tip of the clip 44 is reengaged with the edge 30e of the center shaft, creating a state where the clip cannot be inserted into a pocket or the like. Further, the contact portion 36c of the groove 36a of the large-diameter portion 36 of the rotating shaft shown in FIG. 3 abuts on the rib 30a of the rear shaft to regulate the other rotation.

In the state where the tip 11 is turned upward, the ball valve 16 of the ballpoint pen writing body 1a is positioned on the ball valve receiving seat 7 of the valve chamber 6 and seals the guide hole 8, so that the writing is performed upward. Even if the ink on the back surface of the tip ball 12 of the chip is depleted, the ink is caught by the head and does not flow backward. Therefore, when the chip 11 is turned downward, the ink can immediately flow out, and the writing is prevented from being rubbed.
(By the way, in the structure without a ball valve, the ink acts in the backward direction when writing upwards, so that air is trapped in the chip and the ink does not follow immediately when writing downwards, causing scuffing.)

In the writing state in which the tip 11 is directed downward, the ball valve 16 abuts on one of the rear ends of the tip 11 in a biased state, and the other side has a flow path through which ink can flow into the tip 11. Then, the ink 18 that has entered the valve chamber 6 from the ink storage pipe 17 through the guide hole 8 is guided to the back of the tip ball 12. In this state, the tip ball 12 is brought into close contact with the inner edge of the chip holding portion by the pressing of the rod shaft portion 15, so that the direct current of the ink is prevented. In addition, the tip ball 12 slightly retreats due to the writing pressure, so that a gap is created and ink can flow out. By writing, the rotation of the tip ball 12 allows the ink to flow smoothly, and there is no dent and writing with high handwriting density is possible. Becomes In addition, in the case of correcting a typographical error, the tip ball 12 slightly retreats due to the writing pressure, so that a gap is created and ink can flow out. By writing, the viscosity is reduced by the rotation of the tip ball 12, and the ink flows out smoothly. Correction of concealable typographical errors becomes possible. A channel (a receiving seat for the tip ball having a plurality of ink inflow grooves penetrating toward the inner hole of the chip) is provided on the back surface of the tip ball 12, and a rod shaft portion 15 passes through a center hole of the channel. The ink in the chip is guided to the back of the tip ball 12 through the ink inflow groove and the gap between the center hole and the rod shaft portion 15.

An embodiment of the ballpoint pen writing body 80a will be described. First, in a writing state in which the chip 90 is directed downward, the ball valve 93 abuts on one of the rear ends of the chip 90 in a state of being biased, and the other side has a flow path through which ink can flow into the chip 90. The ink 95 that has entered the valve chamber 85 from the ink storage tube 94 through the guide hole 87 is guided to the back of the tip ball 91. Further, since the tip ball 91 is brought into close contact with the inner edge of the ball holding portion 90a of the chip by the pressing of the spring seat 92b, the direct current of the ink is prevented. Further, since the tip ball 91 is slightly retreated by the writing pressure, a gap is generated and ink can flow out, and the viscosity is reduced by rotation of the tip ball 91 by writing, so that the ink flows out smoothly.
