Abstract

Thus, the surface hardened key cap is provided and further, a metal plating film 4 of nickel, chrome, titanium, aluminium, copper, zinc, silver or gold is formed on the 1st protecting layer 3 by vacuum evaporation plating. Further, a required character or pattern 5 appears on the metal plating film 4 by laser etching and finally, the metal plating film 4 and the character or pattern 5 are covered with acrylic resins or any material in place of them.
