Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable identifying a blown-out fuse accurately and replacing it with a good one by parallel-connecting to the fuse a detecting section comprising an electric light-emitting body and an electric resistor in a series connection. SOLUTION: A detecting section 4 consists of an electric light-emitting body 5 comprising a light-emitting diode; and an electric resistor 6 in a seri connection and is mounted between a pair of through-holes, formed in a printed circuit board. The terminal body sections and connecting sections of junction terminals 9 are inserted into installation holes and the through-holes in the printed circuit board and secured by soldering or laser welding. Thereby the junction terminals 9 are installed on the printed circuit board. A fuse 3 is installed at the mounting section of the junction terminals 9, and thereby the detecting sections 4, comprising the electric light-emitting body 5 and the electric resistor 6, are parallel- connected. If overcurrent is passed through the electric circuit 2 due to short circuit or the like, therefore, one of the fuses 3 is blown and the corresponding electric light-emitting body 5 emits light. As a result, the blown fuse can be easily and accurately identified with a visual check.

As described above, since the detector 4 in which the electric luminous element 5 composed of a light emitting diode and the like and the electric resistor 6 are arranged in series is connected in parallel to the fuse 3, the electric resistor 5 is normally used. Due to the presence of 6, the current of the power supply 1 is supplied to each electric load through the fuse 3, and the electroluminescent element 5 is maintained in a non-light emitting state. When an overcurrent flows due to a short circuit or the like in the electric circuit 2,
Since the fuse 3 is blown and the flow of current through the fuse 3 is interrupted, a current flows through the detection unit 4 and the electroluminescent body 5 emits light.

Therefore, it is possible to easily detect whether or not the fuse 3 is disconnected by merely visually checking whether or not the electroluminescent body 5 is in a light emitting state. In this case, the fuse 3 in which the disconnection has occurred can be accurately specified without reading the instruction manual or the like, and the replacement work of the fuse 3 can be performed easily and accurately. In addition, even when the fuse 3 and the detection unit 4 are arranged in a dark position such as a lower part of the vehicle body, it is possible to check at a glance whether or not the electroluminescent body 5 emits light. The disconnection of the fuse 3 can be easily detected even from a remote position.

In the above-described embodiment, the detecting portion 4 including the electric luminous body 5 and the electric resistor 6 is set on the printed circuit board 7 and the mounting hole 8 of the relay terminal 9 having the mounting portion 10 for the fuse 3 is provided. Is provided on the printed circuit board 7, and the relay terminal 9 is provided with the connection portion 13 for electrically connecting the detection portion 4 and the fuse 3 in a parallel state.
In a state where the detection unit 4 is mounted on the printed circuit board 7 and the like, the relay terminal 9 of the fuse 3 is attached to the printed circuit board 7 by a simple operation. Can be electrically connected.

The electric luminous body 5 of the detecting section 4 can be constituted by a tungsten lamp or the like. However, when the electric luminous body 5 is constituted by a light emitting diode as shown in the above-mentioned embodiment, the light emission is prevented. Since the diode has the property of being inexpensive and having low power consumption, there is an advantage that the production cost and the maintenance cost of the disconnection detecting device can be reduced at a low cost, and there is little failure.

Further, in the above-described embodiment, the example in which the detection unit 4 having the above-described electroluminescent element 5 is disposed on the printed circuit board 7 disposed in the electric connection box has been described. May be configured to be installed on an instrument panel of a vehicle by providing an electric wire that leads out from the installation portion of the fuse 3. In this case, is the fuse 3 disconnected? Whether or not it is possible can be detected more quickly and easily.

Note that, instead of the above-described embodiment in which the fuse 3 and the detection unit 4 are connected by the relay terminal 9 or an electric wire, as shown in FIG. The structure may be such that the part 4 and the fuse 3 are formed integrally in advance. In the case of such a configuration, there is an advantage that the detection unit 4 can be installed at the same time by attaching the fuse 3 to the attachment portion.

As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, since the detecting portion, in which the electric luminous body and the electric resistor are arranged in series, is connected in parallel to the fuse, the electric luminous emission is reduced. By visually observing whether or not the body is in a light emitting state, it is possible to easily detect whether or not the fuse is disconnected, and to read the instruction manual when a large number of fuses are arranged. Therefore, the fuse in which the disconnection has occurred can be accurately specified. Therefore,
Even in a case where the fuse and the detection unit are provided in a dark position such as a lower part of the vehicle body, the disconnection of the fuse can be easily detected and the replacement operation can be performed easily and accurately.
