[0005] Thereafter, the welding is performed by filling the groove 10 formed by the flange 3a, the end plate 5, the welding joint 7 and the end tabs 8 and 9 with a welding metal by arc welding or the like. The reason why the width of the welding joint 7 is set to be wider than the width of the end plate 5 and the end tabs 8 and 9 are used at the end in the width direction of the welding joint 7 is that the groove 10 is formed from the widthwise end of the groove 10 at the time of the main welding. While preventing the overflow of the weld metal to the outside, the weld metal is sufficiently filled also in the vicinity of the width direction ends of the end plate 5 and the flange 3a,
This is to ensure welding strength.

However, in the method of welding the end plate 5 described above, it takes time and effort to assemble and weld the end tabs 8 and 9, and when the welding positions of the end tabs 8 and 9 are shifted, the main welding is performed. Disadvantages such as a decrease in the strength of the steel sheet. In addition, after the main welding, not only additional work is required to cut off the protruding portions of the welding joint 7 and the end tabs 8 and 9, but also two kinds of members of the welding joint 7 and the end tabs 8 and 9 are used for assisting welding. Therefore, there is a problem that the number of parts increases and management of these members becomes complicated.

When an end plate is welded to a connecting portion such as a column or a beam using the welding joint, first, the welding joint is applied to the back surface of the connecting portion and slightly protrudes toward the end plate. In this state, the welding joint is assembled and welded to the connection portion and the end plate, respectively. At this time, the end tab, which is bent substantially vertically upward from the widthwise end of the welded joint, comes into contact with the widthwise end of the connecting portion while sandwiching the widthwise end of the connecting portion from the outside.

Subsequently, the welding is performed by filling a groove formed by the connecting portion, the end plate, the welded joint, and the end tab portion of the welded joint with a weld metal. In this case, the end tab portion prevents the weld metal from overflowing from the width direction end of the weld joint. Since the width dimension of the weld joint is equal to or smaller than the width dimension of the end plate, the weld joint does not protrude outward in the width direction of the end plate, and therefore, it is not necessary to cut off the weld joint after the main welding. .

The amount P of protrusion of the end tab portion 13 from the upper surface of the welded joint body 12 is set to be equal to the thickness T of the flange 3a (see FIG. 3) of the beam 3. The width dimension B1 of the welded joint body 12 is set to be equal to the widthwise dimension B2 of the flange 3a (see FIG. 2), and the overall widthwise dimension B3 of the welded joint 11 including the end tab 13 is equal to the end. It is set smaller than the width dimension B4 of the plate 5. When the end plate 5 is welded to the upper flange 3a (the connection with the column) using the welding joint 11, first, the welding joint body 12 is applied to the lower surface (back surface) of the flange 3a. The front portion of the welded joint 11 is projected toward the end plate 5 with the end tab portion 13 abutting on the side end surface of the flange 3a. Then, for example, the welding joint body 12 of the welding joint 11 is assembled and welded to the lower surface of the flange 3a and the rear surface 5a of the end plate 5 at positions indicated by hatchings C and D in FIG. In this case, the upper surfaces of the flange 3a, the end tab portion 13, and the end plate 5 are substantially flush.

Subsequently, the welding is performed by filling the groove 3 formed by the flange 3a, the end plate 5, the welding joint body 12 and the end tab portion 13 with a welding metal by arc welding or the like. Since both end portions of the groove 14 in the width direction are closed by the end tab portions 13, the weld metal does not leak outside from both end portions of the groove 14 in the width direction, and the width dimension B3 of the weld joint 11 is an end plate. Since it is smaller than the width dimension B4 of No. 5, it is not necessary to cut off the width direction end of the welded joint 11 after the main welding. After welding one flange 3a of the beam 3 to the end plate 5,
Similarly, the other flange 3a is also welded to the end plate 5.

As described in the column of rod-handling method in Table 1, the welding torch 15 shown in FIG.
The welding of the first layer is performed by moving the groove 14 in FIG. 4 from the left end to the right end as shown by the arrow, and then, the moving direction of the welding torch 15 is reversed, and the right end of the groove 14 is moved. When welding the second layer by moving from the part to the left end, after starting the arc at the left end of the groove 14, the welding torch 15 is stopped at that position for about 0.5 seconds, Of the welding joint 11 at the start end of the main welding.
This has the advantage that the main welding can be performed uniformly at each part of the welded joint 11. On the other hand, if the welding torch 15 is immediately started to move rightward in the groove 14 after the arc start at the left end of the groove 14, there is a possibility that insufficient penetration of the weld metal occurs at the start end, which is not preferable. .

As described above, when the end plate is welded to a connection portion of a column or a beam with another member, the welding joint of the present invention is provided on the back side of the connection portion from the connection portion to the end plate side. In a welded joint which is applied so as to protrude and receives a weld metal between the connecting portion and the end plate, the welded joint is bent substantially vertically upward from a widthwise end thereof along a widthwise end of the connecting portion. Since the end tab part is integrally formed and the width dimension of the weld joint is set to be equal to or less than the width dimension of the end plate, the weld joint is temporarily fixed to the connection part and the end plate by welding or the like. After that, when performing welding by filling a weld metal into the groove formed by the connection portion, the end plate, the welded joint and the end tab portion of the welded joint, Since the end tab portion prevents the weld metal from overflowing from the width direction end of the welded joint, the main welding can be performed smoothly, and the widthwise dimension of the welded joint is in the width direction of the end plate. Since it is smaller than the dimensions, the welded joint does not protrude outward in the width direction of the end plate, and therefore, it is not necessary to cut off the welded joint after the main welding, and the advantage that the labor required for welding the end plate is reduced. is there.

Further, since the end tab portion is formed integrally with the welded joint, the time and effort of assembling the end tab separately from the welded joint and temporarily fixing the same by welding or the like are unnecessary, and the end tab is temporarily fixed independently. Unlike the case, in the present invention, the positional displacement of the end tab portion with respect to the weld joint does not occur, so that there is an advantage that the accuracy of the main welding is increased.
