In order to achieve the above object, a plurality of links are connected to a roller-type step chain, which is mounted at a predetermined pitch on a step shaft which is fitted through the links at a predetermined pitch. Step chain of a passenger conveyor including a step, a step sprocket provided on a main body that meshes with the step chain, and a buffer provided with one end fitted into a bottom hole piercing portion of the step sprocket and the other end protruding from the tooth bottom. This is achieved by providing the shock absorber with one end protruding portion of the shock absorber having a diameter larger than the diameter of the stepped sprocket tooth bottom perforated portion. Further, the present invention is achieved by providing a plurality of the above-mentioned shock absorbers at one tooth bottom of the step sprocket and disposing them all over one tooth bottom of the step sprocket.

Here, a general stepping device for a passenger conveyor includes a stepping sprocket 4 and a stepping chain 1, to which steps 2 disposed endlessly at equal intervals are fixed, and the steps 2 are composed of four steps. In this structure, the vehicle travels on the step rail 6 and the step rail 3 while being supported by the wheel 8. Further, a link is inserted through the bush 9 at a predetermined pitch P through the bush 9 at a predetermined pitch P, and a step chain roller 5 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the bush 9 so that the step sprocket 4 and the step chain 1 mesh with each other. Polygonal mesh, step chain roller 5
When the gear bites into the teeth of the step sprocket 4, a buffer 7 is embedded in the tooth bottom of the step sprocket in order to reduce biting noise.

In FIG. 4, the minimum allowable pitch error and the maximum allowable pitch error are shown in the figure. The error center is shifted by g from the center line 10 of the tooth space in which the buffer 7 is embedded, and in most cases, the roller 5 collides with the edge of the buffer 7. For this reason, the roller 5 cannot compress the buffer body 7 in the axial direction, applies an excessive load to the buffer body 7 itself, cannot exert the spring rigidity and damping of the buffer body 7, and comes into contact with one another. As a result, it is clear that the life of the buffer 7 is also shortened.

Here, an embodiment of the present invention will be described. The hole diameter of the stepped sprocket 4 is D1 and D2, D1 is a shorter diameter smaller than the sprocket width W of the stepped sprocket 4, and D2 is substantially the same as D1 or longer than D1. On the other hand, the shapes of d1 and d2 of the buffer 7 are configured to match the perforations D1 and D2 of the step sprocket 4. The protrusion diameters d3 and d at the other end of the buffer 7
Reference numeral 4 is larger than the diameters D1 and D2 of the perforated portions of the step sprocket 4. Further, a plurality of shock absorbers 7 are provided and arranged over the entire tooth bottom surface of the step sprocket 4. Further, a buffer 7a provided so that the buffer 7 protrudes from the tooth bottom surface of the stepped sprocket and a buffer 7b into which one end is fitted may be provided separately. Viscous body 15 and pin 1 inside buffer 7b
6 are provided. For example, a viscous body is sealed in the cylindrical buffer 7b, and serves to increase the damping capacity generated by the movement of the viscous fluid. With the above configuration, even when the seating position of the step chain roller 5 changes, the shock absorber 7 absorbs the impact. The impact force generated when the step chain roller 5 and the step sprocket 4 mesh with each other is attenuated, thereby reducing noise.

According to the present invention, the projecting portion of the shock absorber is configured to have a diameter larger than the diameter of the hole at the bottom of the stepped sprocket tooth.
