Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a rain gutter against fallen leaves and snow by capping a semi-tubular member having both ends and two intermediate parts bent to a tubular member having a slope on the upper surface. SOLUTION: A semi-tubular member formed to have both ends and two intermediate parts bent is capped to a tubular member having trapezoidal cross section with a slope on the upper surface and a rounded surface at the lateral end of a lifting part, thereby forming a rain gutter clogging preventive member. Thereafter, the clogging preventive member is mounted on a rain gutter fitted to the bargeboard 5 of a building roof. As a result, rainwater from a roof changes a flowrate at the slope of the member and is guided along the member at the bent parts thereof. Then, the rainwater flows into the rain gutter. In this case, fallen leaves do not come to be positioned along the member, and do not enter the rain gutter. Also, snow does not enter the rain gutter. Thus, the breakage of the rain gutter due to the weight of the snow does not take place.

The fallen leaves that have fallen on the roof in the past accumulate in the rain gutter, and the gutter is clogged. If the gutter is not cleaned, rainwater will not flow and the function of the rain gutter will be impaired. Further, snow has a problem that the rain gutter is damaged due to the load of snow on the rain gutter.

A semi-tubular member having both ends and two intermediate portions bent is covered by a trapezoidal tubular member having a trapezoidal cross section having an inclined upper surface and a rounded upper end. By mounting on the gutter attached to the gable plate on the roof of the building, the fallen leaves can flow into the gutter without rainwater and can withstand the load of snow. The position where the above-mentioned member is attached is on the rain gutter, but it is effective to provide a clearance of 10 mm between the rain gutter and the present member.
