Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent malodor from scattering to the surroundings by making an opening in a part of a covering device for preventing malodor scattering installed on the upper surface of equipment from which malodor is generated and providing a packed bed of a formed carrier in which microorganisms live on a gas permeable and water permeable perforated plate arranged in this opening. SOLUTION: First, malodorous gas generated from a sedimentation basin 3 is introduced by a deodorizing fan 10 into below a packed bed 9 of a formed carrier in which microorganisms live packed on a gas permeable and water permeable perforated plate 8 in an opening made in a cover 1, and while it is passed through the packed bed 9, malodorous components are oxidized and decomposed by the microorganisms to turn it into clean air, which is released in the air. As the formed carrier used in the packed bed 9, in which the microorganisms easily live and which is porous and has good water holding property, such as ceramics or active carbon is used. And since when the carrier is dried or material produced by oxidizing decomposition by the microorganisms is accumulated in the packed bed 9, activity of the microorganisms is interfered with, a water spray device 10 is installed above the packed bed 9.

2. Description of the Related Art A sand basin, a first sedimentation basin, an aeration tank, and a sand basin installed at a sewage relay pump station installed in a sewage treatment plant are composed of pool-shaped tanks for functional reasons. At first, the tops of sedimentation basins and aeration tanks were generally open. Therefore, since there is a problem that a bad smell mainly composed of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia generated in the process of treating sewage is generated from the upper surface of each tank and scatters around to deteriorate the environment. Measures have been taken to prevent the odor from scattering by providing a cover on the upper surface.

As shown in FIG. 4, each cover 1 is provided with an odor duct 2, and the odor generated from the sedimentation basin 3 and the aeration tank 4 is collected at one place from the odor duct 2. After the odor components are removed by a deodorizing device 5 (for example, a chemical cleaning method, an activated carbon adsorption method, a microorganism deodorizing method, etc.), the odor components are released into the atmosphere through a deodorizing fan 6. This method of collecting odors has the advantage that the odorous gas can be collectively treated in one place, but has the following disadvantages. That is, depending on the installation location of the deodorizing device 5, there are some locations where the odorous gas generated from the first settling basin 3 and the aeration tank 4 is near or far from the deodorizing device 5. Has a drawback that a damper 7 must be provided in front of the odor duct 2 connected to each cover 1 of the settling tank 3 and the aeration tank 4 to adjust the amount of suction air. When the biological deodorization method is adopted for the deodorizing device 6, while the malodorous gas flows through the odor duct 2 and the odor collecting duct 5, the temperature decreases in winter and increases in summer, so that microorganisms may be removed. Has a disadvantage in that the activity of the odor is reduced, the odorous gas is not sufficiently decomposed, and the deodorizing ability is affected. Furthermore, the above-mentioned odor collection method requires a large installation space and cost of the duct, and also requires a large amount of power for flowing odorous gas through the duct.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The details of the present invention will be described below. FIG. 1 is an outline view showing an example of a cover apparatus for a first settling pond in a sewage treatment plant, and FIG. 2 is an outline view showing an example of a cover apparatus for an aeration tank. In FIG. 1, the malodorous gas generated from the first sedimentation basin 3 is filled by a deodorizing fan 6 into a molded carrier in which microorganisms are inhabited, which is filled on a ventilation / water passage plate 8 in an opening provided in the cover 1. The malodorous components introduced into the lower part of the layer 9 and inhabit the carrier while passing through the packed layer 9 are oxidatively decomposed by the microorganisms and released into the atmosphere as clean air. The molded carrier used for the filling layer 9 is made of a porous and water-retaining material such as ceramics and activated carbon which are artificially molded so that microorganisms can easily inhabit and the air permeability does not vary. I do. In addition, as a carrier for inhabiting microorganisms, a material having good water retention is used. However, when the carrier is dried or a substance generated by oxidative decomposition by microorganisms accumulates in the packed layer 9, the activity of microorganisms is inhibited. Packing layer 9
A watering device 10 capable of watering the surface is provided. Next, as shown in FIG. 2, since air is blown into the aeration tank 4, an odorous gas can be passed through the packed bed 9 by using the pressure of the air. The fan 6 can be eliminated. However, for this purpose, it is necessary to improve the sealing property between the aeration tank 4 and the cover 1. Further, in FIG. 2, the upper surface of the filling layer 9 is fully open so as to minimize the pressure loss. In addition to good artificial turf, terraret, and a carrier that does not carry microorganisms, jade, cobblestone, ballas, and glass beads may be used. In general, in the case of a packed tower type deodorizer not shown, a sufficient space is taken below the packed bed in order to make the distribution of the gas introduced in the duct uniform, but in the present invention, in FIG. 1 and FIG. First settling basin 3 and aeration tank 4
Since the upper space of this part plays this role and uses a molded carrier with no variation in air permeability, the amount of odor gas passing through the packed bed is uniform, and the entire carrier can be used effectively, and In the cover apparatus of the invention, in FIGS. 1 and 2, the water sprinkled by the sprinkler 10 flows down in the packed bed 9 and passes through the ventilation / permeation plate 8 to settle the first settling basin 3.
Since it falls directly onto the sewage in the tank, there is also an advantage that a water collecting tank and a drainage device (for example, a drainage pump, a motor-operated valve, etc.) are not required unlike a packed tower type deodorizer not shown.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, depending on the shape of each tank, it may be more efficient to collect the odorous gas by arranging the opening provided in each cover 1 in two or more places, This effect is particularly large when the shape of the tank is elongated.
The area of the opening varies depending on the performance of the molded carrier of the filling layer 9 of the cover device to be installed, but the superficial velocity of the malodorous gas passing through the filling layer 9 is usually in the range of 0.02 to 0.2 m / s. Therefore, the required area of the opening may be obtained by back calculation from the processing gas amount.

Examples of the present invention will be described below. FIG. 3 is a view showing an embodiment of the cover device of the present invention installed in an actual sewage treatment plant. In FIG. 3, the malodorous gas generated from the first settling tank 3 is introduced into the lower part of the packed bed 9 in the cover device by the deodorizing fan 6 and is released as clean air into the atmosphere. Since the generated odorous gas was blown into the aeration tank, the odorous gas was released into the atmosphere through the packed bed 9 by utilizing the pressure of the air.
Each of them is operated continuously for one month, and the total treatment air volume is approximately 400 m 3 / min which is the same as that of the conventional biological deodorization method not shown.
Thus, the conventional method and the method of the present invention were compared. Tables 1 and 2 show the operation results. As shown in Table 1, the odorous gas is directly discharged into the atmosphere from the upper portion of the packed bed without passing through the duct, so that the required power of the fan is significantly reduced as compared with the conventional method. Further, as shown in Table 2, the performance of removing the offensive odor gas did not change much as compared with the conventional method.

As described above, the cover device of the present invention is a system in which the odorous gas generated in each tank is directly processed and released into the atmosphere as clean air. This is an energy-saving cover device that does not require a valve and a collecting duct, and does not require power for flowing odorous gas into the duct. Further, since there is no temperature drop or rise of the malodorous gas generated by the duct transportation, it is possible to remove a factor that deteriorates the performance of the biological deodorization and to have an excellent view. In addition, since a part of the lid is used for deodorization, a new site (installation space) for a deodorizing device is not required.
