Claims (2)

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 雄形スプラインシャフトとシャフトヨー
クとよりなるシャフト部材と、雌形スプラインスリーブ
とスリーブヨークとよりなるスリーブ部材とが互いに摺
動自在に嵌合し、それぞれのヨークにユニバーサルジョ
イントを設け、それぞれヨークに対してスライドリング
を介して摺動回転自在に連結したかつ互いに摺動自在に
嵌合させた1対の内側スプラインカバー部材及び外側ス
プラインカバー部材と、各スプラインカバー部材に取り
付けてユニバーサルジョイントを比較的大きなクリアラ
ンスをとってカバーする1対のユニバーサルジョイント
カバー部材とよりなる安全カバーによりカバーした駆動
軸において、前記外側スプラインカバー部材をスリーブ
ヨークに設け、前記内側スプラインカバー部材をシャフ
トヨークに設け、前記外側スプラインカバー部材の先端
の近傍に設けた1個の外側給脂口と、前記内側スプライ
ンカバー部材の基端の近傍に設けた1個の基端側内側給
脂口及び前記内側スプラインカバー部材の先端の近傍に
設けた1個の先端側内側給脂口の少なくとも一方とを設
け、前記シャフト部材と前記スリーブ部材との嵌合のオ
ーバーラップ量が最大で駆動軸の長さが最小のとき前記
外側給脂口と前記基端側内側給脂口が整列し、又は前記
シャフト部材と前記スリーブ部材との嵌合のオーバーラ
ップ量が最小で駆動軸の長さが最大のとき前記外側給脂
口と前記先端側内側給脂口が整列するようにそれぞれの
給脂口を配列し、これら互いに整列したカバー部材の給
脂口に整列する給脂通口を雌形スプラインスリーブに形
成し、この給脂通口を雌形スプラインスリーブの内面ま
で貫通する給脂横孔を設け、前記給脂横孔が開口する雌
形スプラインスリーブの内面に環状の油溝を形成したこ
とを特徴とする安全カバー付き駆動軸。
1.
