Abstract

応するキー数が増る。こうなると、かえってキー入力が
煩雑になる。それは、押すべきキーを探すのに、時間が
かかるからである。その対策および、パソコンの普及に
より通常のパソコンのキーボードに違和感がなくなる
と、POSのキーボードを簡易化する方向に変化してき
た。そのための方法として画面上に業務の一覧表をだ
し、矢印(またはカーソル》で、その業務の欄を指し
て、次のステップに進める方法に変わってきている。そ
の矢印を画面上で自在に動かすためには、方向キーで動
かすのが最も一般的であるが、その他にマウス、ジョイ
スティック、トラックボール、デジタイザーまたはタッ

して張り付けてスイッチとして使用する。なお、クリッ
ク感を得るためにバネを取り付けてもよい。さらに、第
3の実施例としてはタッチパッドをリンク機構で支える
ことにより、どこを押しても傾かずに上下に動かすこと
ができるようになり、スイッチを1個にすることができ
