Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 1C, a plating irradiation nozzle 4 is inserted into the container body 3 through the base 2 and the container body 3 is rotated at a constant speed about its longitudinal axis. The metal plating layer 5 is formed by irradiating the inner surface of the container main body 3 with the metal ion beam 5a from the plating irradiation nozzle 4 and performing metal plating. As a result, an FRP pressure vessel is obtained in which an inner liner having a thin film structure made of the metal plating layer 5 is applied to the inner surface of the vessel body 3 made of the FRP layer 3b.

That is, in a state where the container body 3 is formed by thermally curing the FRP layer 3b, the blow molding nozzle 7 with the plastic resin material 6a adhered to the tip end.
Is inserted into the container body 3 through the base 2 and high-temperature air 8 is blown into the resin material 6a from the blow-molding nozzle 7 to expand the resin material 6a like a balloon, so that the resin material 6a expands like a balloon. A thin film-shaped resin layer 6 is formed on the inner surface of the container main body 3 to produce an FRP pressure vessel having the resin layer 6 as a liner.

In the above-described embodiment, the case where the FRP fiber 3a is wound around the gypsum mold 1 by the filament winding method when forming the FRP layer 3b to be the container body 3 has been described. The method of applying metal plating to the inner surface of the container body 3 may employ a method other than the method of irradiating an ion beam. Of course, various changes can be made without departing from the scope.

As described above, according to the method of manufacturing an FRP pressure vessel of the present invention, the following excellent effects are exhibited. (1) FRP fibers are wound around the outer periphery of the inner mold to form an FRP layer, and then the FRP layer is heat-cured to form a container body. Further, the inner mold is removed from the inside of the container body. Then, since the inner surface of the container body is subjected to metal plating to form a lining liner having a thin film structure composed of a metal plating layer, the strength can be ensured by the container body by the FRP layer, and the lining liner by the metal plating layer. Leakage of contents can be prevented, and an extremely lightweight FRP pressure vessel as a whole can be obtained. (2) By forming the metal plating layer on the inner surface of the container body while rotating the container body at a constant speed, the metal plating layer can be applied uniformly in the circumferential direction, and product quality can be improved. It can be further improved. (3) Instead of forming a metal plating layer on the inner surface of the container body, a thin resin layer is formed on the inner surface of the container body by blow molding, so that the thin resin layer is lined with the liner. And can contribute to weight reduction. (4) By applying a powdery adhesive to the outer surface of the resin material used for blow molding, the bonding strength of the resin layer to the inner surface of the container body can be increased, and higher reliability can be achieved. Can be obtained.
