Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To replenish air automatically or by a switch when the tire air pressure of a vehicle drops. SOLUTION: A compressor 3 fitted to a vehicle is actuated using part of driving force of the vehicle, and compressed air is fed to a tire through an air hose 8 built in the vehicle and connected to the tire. Further making use of the fact that the grounding part of the tire is recessed by the weight of the vehicle at the time of making the vehicle travel, a compression type air pump built in a tire part is actuated to automatically replenish air.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a method of injecting air into a tire of a car, a motorcycle or a bicycle, first, the car or the like is stopped. Then, air is supplied from the air inlet while compressing the air with an external pump. This external pump is generally an air compressor for cars and motorcycles, and a manual air pump for bicycles. Other portable electric pumps that connect to a car's cigarette lighter and supply power are also available. Either way, pumps, compressors and hoses are installed when air is introduced, and removed when air is over.

Conventionally, when air is supplied to a tire, a hose connected to a pump or a compressor and an inlet is prepared, and a hose to be attached is connected to the inlet. Also, after the air has been injected, it is necessary to remove the hose and clear it. That is, it is troublesome, and the hands are dirty, which is troublesome. If this effort is neglected, the tire will be deflated and uneven wear of the tire will occur, and even dangers such as puncture and slippage will occur.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Embodiment 1 is a tire device applied to a four-wheeled vehicle. First, the compressor 3 is operated by a part of the driving force of the engine 2 to compress air. The compressed air passes through the hose 8 and enters the hollow portion 12 of the axle 4 from the air hole 5 covered by the cover 6. The side 7 of the cover 6 seals against the axle 4 so that no air leaks and the axle 4
The rotation of is not hindered. When the compressed air is higher than the air pressure of the tire 13, the check valve 14 is opened and the air pressure of the tire 13 is increased through the pipe 11. Therefore, although not shown in the drawing, the air pressure is balanced by the pressure set by the pressure adjusting device of the compressor 3. By the way, the air pressure is maintained without the check ring 14, but when the tire wheel 9 is removed from the axle 4, air escapes from the tire 13. This is prevented by the check valve 14. When the engine 2 is driven, an electromagnetic clutch or the like is used, although not shown in the drawing,
The operation of the compressor 3 can be turned on and off with a single switch. Obviously, even if the engine 2 is a motor, it can be turned on and off with a single switch.

Next, an embodiment of the second embodiment will be described. As shown in FIG. 2, when the container 18 is pushed from above the tire 15, the container 18 contracts, and the air in the container 18 is compressed. Then, the intake valve 21 closes, the exhaust valve 22 opens, and compressed air is sent to the space 17. The tire portion 23 is mounted on the vehicle body 24 and travels as a bicycle shown in FIG. Then, the portion 25 where the tire 15 is in contact with the ground is dented, so the container 1
8 contracts, and the compressed air is sent to the space 11,
Air pressure rises. Conversely, in the portion 26 not in contact with the ground, the container 18 extends, and the air in the container 18 is reduced in pressure, so that the intake valve 21 opens to suck in the outside air. Therefore, this pumping action is repeated while the bicycle is running, and the tire 15
Air pressure gradually rises. However, when the air pressure increases, the depression of the portion 25 decreases, and naturally the amount of compressed air supplied to the space 17 also decreases, so that the air pressure reaches a predetermined air pressure and becomes constant.

In FIG. 1, one of the four wheels 2
Although the reference numeral is assigned only to the tire device No. 7, the other wheels are exactly the same and are omitted. In the first embodiment, a four-wheeled automobile is taken as an example. However, the gist of the present invention is the same for a two-wheeled motorcycle or a bicycle. However, in the case of a bicycle, the driving force for operating the compressor 3 is human power. Although the second embodiment uses a bicycle, the gist of the present invention does not change even if the vehicle is another vehicle.

Conventionally, in vehicles with tires, such as automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles, the air naturally escapes, and it is necessary to replenish the air from time to time. In that case, it is necessary to prepare a compressor and an air hose, attach them to the air inlet of the tire, and remove and clean them when finished. According to the present invention, when the tire is deflated, air can be automatically replenished with a single switch. Or just run the car as in Example 2,
The air that escaped can be replaced. Thus, there is an effect of eliminating the trouble of supplementing the air, and the effect of preventing the danger of running the vehicle with the air deflated is great. Also, since the optimum air pressure is determined by the combination of each car and tire and the optimum value can be always maintained, there is also an effect of preventing uneven wear of the tire.
