Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating a thin-skin cocoon and separating the cocoon into thin skin and chrysalis without giving bad influence on the environment. SOLUTION: A dried thin-skin cocoon is partly incised, the incision is opened, the chrysalis is taken out of the cocoon and the thin skin is separated from the chrysalis by wind selection taking advantage of the specific gravity difference between the thin skin and the chrysalis. The apparatus to perform the above process comprises a cutting part to incise a part of a thin-skin cocoon between a rotary blade 14 and a rubber roll 15, and an opening claw to open the incision of the thin-skin cocoon in cooperation with a rotary basket 25 placed in a long horizontal box 22 and protruded ridges 26 on the inner circumference of the rotary basket 25. The apparatus is further provided with an opened cocoon separation part 12 having a rotary blade 28 to generate wind against a discharging port 24 of the rotary basket 25 and a chrysalis discharging conveyor 29 placed below the rotary basket 25.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, thin skins and pupae are separated from each other because the skin nest cocoons are used as fibers and the pupa is used as bait in fish farms. The device is designed to dehydrate the skin cocoon sent out from the reeling machine with a dehydrator and then wash it with a washing machine. Then, in a wet state, the skin cocoon is wrapped in a skin treatment device, and the skin (fiber) is peeled off. And pupae are taken out separately and each is dried with hot air.

In this method, since the skin cocoons are treated in a wet state, the working environment is poor due to odor and the like, and a large amount of water is required to wash the skin cocoons. Not only that, when draining the washed water, rivers and the like are polluted with the drainage water, and the BOD and COD of the rivers and the like are increased.
There is a problem that adversely affects the natural environment. An object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for treating skin cocoons that does not have such a problem.

According to the invention of claim 1 of the present application, after a cut is made in a part of a dried nest cocoon, the pupa is taken out from the thin skin by opening the cut in the nest cocoon. The method uses a specific gravity difference between the skin and the pupa to separate the skin and the pupa by air separation. When processing the nest cocoon by such a method, the amount of water required to process the nest cocoon Can be greatly reduced.

Next, processing of the skin cocoon by the present apparatus will be described. The skin cocoons a supplied from the hopper 10 are sequentially fed between the rubber roll 15 and the rotary blade 14. Then, while the nest cocoon a passes between the rubber roll 15 and the rotary blade 14, one to three incisions are made in the thin skin c and the pupa b
Is also partially cut, and is supplied into the rotating basket 25 from the charging port 23 via the chute 49. Then, the operation of lifting with the rotation of the rotating basket 25 and the operation of dropping under its own weight are repeated, and are gradually carried to the discharge port 24 side by the wind generated by the rotation of the rotating wings 28, during which the inner periphery of the rotating basket 25 is rotated. The pupa b is crushed by the cooperation of the ridge 26 provided on the surface and the expanding claw 27, and the operation of opening the cut made in the thin skin c is repeated, and the pupa b in the thin skin c becomes the thin skin c. The pupa b is discharged from the eyes of the rotating basket 25 by its own weight and discharged from the conveyor 29.
And sequentially sent out to the screw conveyor 9 side. Then, the thin skin c which has released the pupa b and has become lighter is sent out from the outlet 24 to the transport pipe 4 side by the wind generated in the rotating basket 25 and stored in the tank 8. The pupa b is stored in the tank 8 after the thin pieces (fibers) of the skin contained therein are separated by the separator 6.
