Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glass bottle by forming a funnel-like recess at the center of the inner surface of the bottom of the bottle with the inner surface sloped toward the recess by the aid of the pressure of air blown from the tip of a blow nozzle in a finishing mold so as to intend for using contents in the bottle without any waste. SOLUTION: First, a parison formed in a crude mold with the cavity on the upper part is transferred into a finishing mold assembled with a bottom mold. Subsequently, in the finishing mold, air is blown from the tip of a blow nozzle to provide the center of the inner surface 12 of the bottom with a funnel- like recess 11 with the sharp tip by the aid of the pressure of the air with the inner surface 12 of the bottom communicating with the recess 11 sloped toward the recess 11 and also gradually curved so as to afford the inner surface 12 of the bottom as a whole with elegant shape like the lower part of heart form. In this glass bottle 10 with a neck 13, because a small amount of contents left gathers in the recess 11, the contents can be used up entirely with out any waste by the aid of e.g. a filler.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a glass bottle using an automatic bottle, after forming a parison in a rough mold, the parison is transferred to a finishing mold and compressed air is blown into the parison to make the parison along the finishing mold. Therefore, the inside of the bottle is also formed in a shape substantially following the outside. Therefore, it is not usual to change the shape of only the bottom inner surface of the bottle, and the bottom inner surface of a general well-sealed glass bottle has a slightly thicker center at the center and gently moves toward the periphery. The shape is getting lower.

[0003] The inner surface of the bottom portion of the above-mentioned conventional general glass bottle has a typical shape and thus has no decorative features.
It was difficult to use up the last drop of the expensive contents remaining around the bottom inner surface even with a dropper or brush. Therefore, there has been proposed a technique for manufacturing a glass bottle in which the inner surface at the bottom of the bottle is dented, the surrounding contents are collected in the concave portion, and the contents can be used up using a dropper or a brush.

For example, in the bottle making method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 7-35258, as shown in FIG.
1, air is blown out to make the parison 51 follow the inner surface of the finishing die 50, and the push rod 52 is inserted into the parison 51, the tip of which presses the inner surface of the bottom, and the recess is formed in the center of the bottle bottom. 53 are formed.

[0005] The push rod 52 in the conventional bottle making method described above.
When the tip in contact with the parison 51 is sharpened, it cannot maintain strength enough to withstand high temperatures. Therefore, it is rounded to prevent severe deterioration and consumption due to high heat, and forms a round bottom-shaped depression 53. Therefore, although the depression 53 has a function of collecting the contents, the shape of the depression 53 becomes monotonous, and the periphery of the depression 53 and the inner surface of the bottom are not smoothly continuous, so that the depression 53 can be used for high-grade cosmetics. A glass bottle without such elegance and without decorative features.
