(57)【要約】 【課題】 本発明は、足に対して適切な側部支持材を有
する運動靴を提供する。 【解決手段】 この運動靴（１０）は、靴底（１１）の
外層（２６）と、中間層（２７）と、そして甲部（１
２）とを有している。中間層（２７）の一部分が甲部
（１２）の側部（１７）に沿って上方に延びている。甲
部（１２）と中間層の上方に延びる部分（３５）には、
そこを通って靴紐（２４）が伸びる靴紐用開口（３８）
が形成されている。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、運動靴に関し、
より詳しくは、靴底が甲部の側部に対して横側支持材を
提供する運動靴に関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】運動靴は、テニス、バスケットボール、
ジョギング等のように激しい運動に使用することを意図
したものである。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】これらの運動靴は、競
技者が、突然止まったり、方向転換したり、ジャンプし
たりするときなどに足に対する適切な支持を提供しなけ
ればならない。この発明は、足に対して適切な支持を提
供することのできる運動靴を提供することを課題として
いる。

【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は、甲部の側部
が靴底の中間層から上方に延びる部分によって復原性と
補強を与えられた運動靴を提供するものである。中間層
の上方に延びる部分には、靴紐用開口が設けられ、靴紐
は中間層の上方に延びる部分の靴紐用開口と甲部の靴紐
用開口とを通って伸びている。靴紐を引き締め、その靴
紐を結ぶときには、中間層の上方に延びる部分が足の側
部を引き締めるところの横側の支持材を提供するもので
ある。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、この発明は図に示された具
体例によって説明される。
【０００６】運動靴１０は靴底１１と甲部１２とからな
っている。甲部には、舌状片開口１４を含む足用開口１
３が設けられている。なお、舌状片開口１４は舌状片１
５により閉鎖されている。甲部は、トー部１６と、両側
の側部１７および１８と、ヒール部とからなっている。
側部１７と１８は、それぞれ、舌状片開口を画成する側
縁２０および２１を有している。複数の靴紐用開口、す
なわち鳩目２２および２３は、靴紐２４のために両側部
１７および１８に形成されている。甲部は従来の材料、
例えば、皮革、キャンバス布、合成樹脂材料等から作ら
れることができる。
【０００７】靴底１１は、一緒に固着されている外層２
６と中間層２７とからなっている。また、靴底はトー部
２８と、両側の側部２９および３０と、ヒール部３１と
からなっている。靴底の外層２６は、通常の滑り止め用
リブと溝が設けられた底面３２を有している。底面は上
方に湾曲した土踏まず部分３３を有することができる。
靴底の外層はゴムのような適当な摩擦力と耐久性とを提
供する材料で作られている。
【０００８】中間層２７の両側部は、靴紐用開口２２お
よび２３の方向に向かって甲部の左、右側部上を延び
る、上方に延びる部分３５および３６を有している。中
間層の上方に延びる部分３５および３６は、例えば、接
着剤によって甲部の側部に固着されているのが好まし
い。
【０００９】右側部の上方に延びる部分３５には、甲部
の靴紐用開口３９（図４参照）に整列している一対の靴
紐用開口３８が設けられている。鳩目４０は靴紐用開口
３８および３９内に固着されている。同様に、左側部の
上方に延びる部分３６には、甲部の靴紐用開口４２と整
列している一対の開口４１が設けられている。鳩目４３
はそれらの開口内に固着されている。
【００１０】中間層の上方に延びる部分は、甲部の靴紐
用開口２２および２３に向かって延び、靴紐用開口３８
および４１は、それらの開口３８および４１に最も近接
する靴紐用開口２２および２３のいくらか下方に、近接
して配置されている。靴紐用開口３８および４１は、外
層の底面と近接する靴紐用開口２２および２３の間の距
離の１／２以上、好ましくは少なくとも２／３以上の距
離にわたって配置されるのが好ましい。
【００１１】靴紐２４は、舌片用開口の下部において、
甲部の最初の２個の靴紐用開口２２および２３の間で相
互交差している。その後、靴紐は中間層の上方に延びる
部分の開口３８，４１と甲部の靴紐用開口２２，２３と
の間の交差に変えられる。この靴紐が引き締められて結
ばれるときには、中間層の上方に延びる部分は、土踏ま
ず部分の両側側部で、足の側部を引っ張るものである。
したがって、足は、甲部の両側部補強し、足を復原する
中間層によって、その横側を支持される。中間層の材料
は、甲部の材料よりもより厚くおよび／またはより強く
するのがよく、中間層の上方に延びる部分は、足が外層
の両側部を超えて横側外方に滑動することを制限する。
【００１２】中間層は、ＥＶＡ（エチレンー酢酸ビニル
樹脂）、ポリウレタン、または同様の材料から作られ
る。例示の具体例において、中間層のそれぞれの上方に
延びる部分には、中間層の靴紐用開口の間に凹部４５が
設けられている。しかしながら、凹部は所望により省略
されることができる。また、例示された特定の靴では、
クッション材４６からなる内部部分４６と足の底と甲部
の底の間に内層４７を有している（図４参照）。
【００１３】代替として、運動靴は中間層を省略するこ
ともできる。このような場合には、外層の側部が甲部の
側部に沿って上方に延びるだろう。また、靴底は、もし
も一方の側部の補強のみが望まれるならば、甲部の一方
の側部にだけ沿わせて延ばすこともできる。望まれるな
らば、靴底の上方に延びる部分の靴紐用開口が甲部の靴
紐用開口に整列している必要はない。代わりとして、靴
紐を靴紐用開口に通すことができるように、靴底の上方
に延びる部分の頂部が甲部から離されていることもでき
る。
【００１４】ここまでの明細書においては、この発明の
特定の具体例の詳細な説明は例示のためになされてきた
が、ここで与えられた詳細の多くは、この発明の精神と
範囲を逸脱することなく、当該技術分野の専門家によっ
て相当の変更ができることを理解されるべきであろう。

Claims (9)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 ヒール部と、両側の側部と、トー部とか
    らなる靴底と、この靴底に取り付けられた甲部であっ
    て、ヒール部と、両側の側部と、トー部とからなり、足
    用開口と複数の靴紐用開口を有する甲部と、靴紐用開口
    を通って伸びる靴紐とからなる運動靴において、靴底の
    側部の少なくとも一方が、甲部の一方の側部の一部に重
    なるとともに靴紐用開口が形成されている、上方に延び
    る部分を有し、それによって、靴底の上方に延びる部分
    が、横側からの支持を提供するように着用者の足を引き
    締めることができることを特徴とする運動靴。
  2. 【請求項２】 靴底の上方に延びる部分の靴紐用開口
    が、甲部の靴紐用開口と整列していることを特徴とする
    請求項１記載の運動靴。
  3. 【請求項３】 靴底が外層と中間層とからなり、靴底の
    上方に延びる部分が中間層によって形成されていること
    を特徴とする請求項１記載の運動靴。
  4. 【請求項４】 靴底の上方に延びる部分には、そこを通
    って靴紐が伸びる一対の靴紐用開口が形成されているこ
    とを特徴とする請求項１記載の運動靴。
  5. 【請求項５】 ヒール部と、両側の側部と、トー部とか
    らなる靴底と、この靴底に取り付けられた甲部であっ
    て、ヒール部と、両側の側部と、トー部とからなり、足
    用開口と複数の靴紐用開口を有する甲部と、靴紐用開口
    を通って伸びる靴紐とからなる運動靴において、靴底の
    側部のそれぞれが、甲部の側部の一方の一部に重なると
    ともに靴紐用開口が形成されている、上方に延びる部分
    を有し、それによって、靴底の上方に延びる部分が、横
    側からの支持を提供するように着用者の足を引き締める
    ことができることを特徴とする運動靴。
  6. 【請求項６】 靴底の上方に延びる部分の各靴紐用開口
    が、甲部の靴紐用開口と整列していることを特徴とする
    請求項５記載の運動靴。
  7. 【請求項７】 靴底が外層と中間層とからなり、靴底の
    上方に延びる部分が中間層によって形成されていること
    を特徴とする請求項５記載の運動靴。
  8. 【請求項８】 靴底の上方に延びる部分が、靴底の外層
    と甲部の靴紐用開口の間の距離の半分以上にわたって延
    びていることを特徴とする請求項７記載の運動靴。
  9. 【請求項９】 靴底の上方に延びる部分には、そこを通
    って靴紐が伸びる一対の靴紐用開口が形成されているこ
    とを特徴とする請求項５記載の運動靴。
