Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder for an infant and a physically handicapped person by which they can have a meal at ease by setting downward a clip on a rear surface of bottom of a holder whose upper surface is open. SOLUTION: A cup holder 1 of a slightly high type and hard to fall down is desirable. If is more desirable that the holder 1 can be slid to meet the thickness of a cup and is retained by a spring. A large clip 7 is inserted into and fixed to an engagement part 5 of bottom 3 of the holder 1, otherwise to that 5 of a rear surface of the holder 1. Such materials as metal and synthetic resin including plastic are suitable for that of the holder 1. In particular, metal is preferable as it can be changed in its form according to the thickness and inclining angle of a tray or the like to which it is set. In use, the holder 1 is set to a rising edge of the tray by means of the clip 7 such that the holder faces the opposite side to the user.
