Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a connector capable of smoothly moving or rotating a plug to the inserting direction (a cable outgoing direction) even if the connector has a number of pins. SOLUTION: Upper and lower guide holes 5a, 5b are provided in symmetry on the mutually opposing upper and lower faces of a cutout 6 in an electronic device mainbody 1. Stepped pins 2a, 2b are inserted into the upper and lower guide holes 5a, 5b. Nuts 3a, 3b are used to hold a connector 4 therebetween for mounting. With the stepped pins 2a, 2b, the connector 4 is fixed thereto to be freely rotatable or movable around the stepped pins. The guide holes 5a, 5b are formed in the same shape at the upper and lower sides, into a circular shape, e.g. so that the connector 4 can be freely transferred (rotated) with the guide holes as guides.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, data transfer from an electronic device, such as a personal computer, to a peripheral device, such as an electrophotographic printer, or a terminal device, for example, has been performed using a Centro cable, for example, using a connector and a cable. In this case, the connector is fixed to the back or side of the electronic device in one direction (mostly vertically).

[0003] However, for example, when many electronic devices are arranged in a narrow place, there is no place to bend the cable with a margin, and an excessive force is applied to the connector or the cable in an attempt to forcibly bend the cable. Was well.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention
In the connector proposed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 0-200, a sliding contact is used to prevent a bending force from being generated in the wiring in the device. This method is suitable for a connector having a small number of pins (for example, two pins). However, when the number of pins is large, it is difficult to use a slide contact (too large), so that this structure cannot be used.

The operation of the present invention will be described. A notch is provided in the main body of the apparatus so that a connector can be inserted, and a pair of guide holes are formed in upper and lower surfaces opposite to the notch. On the other hand, a supporting member such as a pin for supporting the connector is inserted and fitted, so that the supporting member can be moved along the guide hole, and the connector is fixed at an appropriate position. In this case, if a notch is provided in a corner portion of the apparatus main body, there is an effect that the mounting position of the connector can be adjusted at an angle of 90 degrees.
