Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a streak line and fluctuation of coating on a base paper from being generated by laminating and bonding a thin sheet-like coating plate consisting of a high-speed steel on the surface of an elastic thin sheet-like base consisting of a spring steel and making the end part of the thin sheet-like coating plate in the longitudinal direction work as a coating part. SOLUTION: A flexible blade 1 for coating used in a process for applying a coating liq. on base paper is prepd. by laminating and bonding a thin sheet- like coating plate 3 consisting of a high speed steel on the surface of an elastic thin sheet-like base 2 consisting of a spring steel to integrally form them and the end part of the thin sheet-like coating plate 3 in the longitudinal direction is used as a coating part 4. In this case, the coating part 4 is formed of a thick part 5 as a wear part and an inclined face part 6 formed by cutting obliquely. It is possible thereby to prevent a streak line and fluctuation of coating from being generated on base paper and to improve wear resistance with flexibility by using the flexible blade 1 for coating and to easily and inexpensively manufacture it.

[0004] The coating blade is a bevel method in which a portion obtained by diagonally cutting the plate width end in the longitudinal direction is pressed against the coating base paper, and the longitudinal direction of the plate width end upper surface is pressed against the coating base paper. They are roughly classified into venting methods, which are used depending on the amount of paint to be applied, paper type, and type of machine used according to the quality requirements of each user.

Although it is theoretically possible to increase the service life by using a harder metal material which is more wear-resistant than quenched and tempered spring steel, this type of material is not necessarily flexible. Is not sufficient, and the sheet is so thin that it is extremely brittle and easily broken.

Therefore, the life of the coating blade is extended,
For the purpose of increasing the durability and reducing the number of blade replacements during the production of coated paper to achieve long-term operation stability, for example, as disclosed in JP-A-59-88995,
Some blade surfaces are coated with a ceramic material or the like by thermal spraying. However, this coating blade
3 to 5 compared to conventional spring steel blades
Although it can achieve twice the life, it is missing due to brittleness and porosity, which are unique properties of ceramics, and the ceramic material has a high melting point (thousands of degrees) and a single thermal spray of 10μ.
Due to the restriction that the blades can be formed only to a certain degree, problems such as deformation of the blade itself and internal loss due to multi-layering are likely to occur.

As a method other than the method of coating by spraying a ceramic material or the like, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-64
No. 595, by coating a part of the surface of the coating blade with hard chrome plating,
Although it is possible to obtain a life of 3 to 5 times as long as that of a conventional blade, this method uses microcracks, which is a property inherent in chrome plating, in the initial stage on the coated paper surface. There is a problem that streaks may occur in the plating, or the thickness of the plating layer due to the electrodes, which is essential for the electroplating method, may cause coating unevenness. It produces a large amount of paper, which is very uneconomical and not completely satisfactory.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to the generation of streaks on the base paper due to the above-described lack of coating due to brittleness, imperfection due to porosity, and minute cracks, and the occurrence of coating unevenness due to variations in plating thickness. It can be easily and inexpensively manufactured without causing streaks and coating unevenness on the base paper, and has the flexibility with greatly improved abrasion resistance. It is an object to provide a coating blade.

When heat treatment is performed to impart spring properties, the coating blade becomes thin and easily cracked.
Since the heat treatment becomes complicated and the material becomes expensive and uneconomical, in the present invention, in order to supplement the spring property of the high-speed tool steel that has not been heat-treated, a high-temperature steel that has not been heat-treated has to be used. The speed tool steel and spring steel are overlapped and joined to form a single piece, which allows the use of a thin material with good wear resistance, and is free from defects due to brittleness, such as chipping due to brittleness, micro-cracking, and uneven plating. A coating blade having flexibility was obtained.
