Payment device
The present invention relates generally to payment devices, and more particularly to fruit machines.
Payments suitable for use on gaming machines called gaming or amusement machines
Although it relates to a device, it is not limited to this.
Typically, when a machine displays a win, it will be selected from a range of different prizes.
Prizes will be given. These prizes often include different amounts of specific coins.
Or a substitute coin.
Thus, devices for controlling the payment of prizes are often similar coins.
Alternatively, it includes an extrusion device located below the stack of substitute coins. This device is
To remove a continuous lump of coins or substitute coins from the bottom of the stack
Move back and forth. The pusher is operated by one or more solenoids.
It is preferably driven by a motor. Specifically, if you have a large payment
, Stacking continuous lumps of coins or substitute coins with an extrusion device
Repeated removal from the bottom of the loudspeaker makes a lot of noise, is unreliable and slow
I know that.
These problems, for example, can send coins with different denominations or substitute coins.
If multiple payment devices are provided,
The cost is considerably higher if a new device is installed.
However, in accordance with the present invention, the payment device has multiple supply devices and a common delivery device.
Have a device.
Each of the supply means is a tube or hopper, or a tube that receives supply from a hopper.
The bu is provided. For example, six feeding means with a generally circular arrangement into a single delivery
It is preferably arranged around the means. Each supply means is the same as the other supply means
Or one or more of the supply means is different from the other supply means.
Good.
Preferably, the level of coins or substitute coins in the supply means is monitored (below
,
For convenience, only mention coins).
Different supply means could be designed to hold coins of different denominations
It will be understood. Indeed, the payment device may be one or more of the means of supply.
Compatible with various environments by allowing the above to be exchanged with different supply means
Can be done. For example, payment devices may have all supply means
Can be set to send coins of the same denomination, or different means of supply are different
It can be set to send coins of the denomination amount. Each of the interchangeable supply means
Detachable connection parts such as nap-in fasteners and simple telescopic fasteners
By providing such a modular structure can be obtained.
The sending means shall not pay when moving in one direction with respect to the supplying means.
However, it includes a ratchet mechanism that pays when traveling in the opposite direction. Sender
Whether the stage is fully rotatable or pivotable and the feeding means is stationary
The opposite is true. The sending means changes the moving direction of the ratchet mechanism with respect to the supplying means.
A driver that accepts signals from a microprocessor or other command source to determine
A drive mechanism may be included or coupled to such a drive mechanism.
In one configuration, the ratchet mechanism can operate in a horizontal plane and payment is initially
Is considered to occur from the supply means to the delivery means in a substantially radial direction.
Can be
In another configuration, the ratchet mechanism can operate in a vertical plane and payment is initially
It is considered that the operation is performed almost tangentially from the supply means to the delivery means.
In the latter configuration, the ratchet mechanism has arms that operate in a vertical plane and
It further has a wheel that rolls along the contour support.
In both configurations, payment from the supply means can be verified and the position of the sending means can be confirmed.
It is desirable to be able to recognize. These functions use microswitches and photodetectors
But preferably by using piezoelectric means
Can be achieved. For example, for each of the supply means, a second
1. Piezoelectric film is provided, and second piezoelectric film is provided on the moving path of ratchet mechanism.
Have been. When the piezoelectric film bends, an electrical signal is generated in the conventional way,
The signal is communicated to the microprocessor or other command source described above.
As mentioned above, payment is made when the ratchet mechanism moves in one direction.
Not paid, but payment will be made if traveling in the opposite direction. Thus, clockwise
No payment is made for movement in the counterclockwise direction, and payment is made if you move in the counterclockwise direction.
Can be made to be exposed. In the modification, the counterclockwise movement is not supported.
Instead of paying, you can make payment by moving clockwise.
Wear. However, instead of the feeding means sending all coins in the same direction,
, Clockwise direction if configured to send coins in various directions
Payment from some supply means, either by movement or counterclockwise movement
And suspend payments from other means of supply. Again, this is explained in the above sentence
Thus, the ratchet mechanism may be fully rotatable or simply pivotable,
One or more selected feeding means during use, even when fully rotatable
Can be pivoted back and forth through.
An example of a payment device according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Must be spring loaded in normal position. Arm 50 counterclockwise
Moving to, the slide 30 is generally pushed radially outward. However,
When the arm 50 is moved in the clockwise direction, the slide 30 is entirely moved inward in the radial direction.
When the coin is pulled out and the coin is sent out, the protrusion 34 abuts on the cam portion of the arm 50.
doing. In either case, the engagement between the arm 50 and the protrusion 34 is once released.
Then, the slide 30 returns to the above-mentioned normal position by the restoring force.
In a variant, the arm 50 pivots relative to the rest of the ratchet mechanism 40.
And the arm 50 is inward against the restoring force while the arm 50 is rotating in the counterclockwise direction.
When the arm 50 is pushed in and is rotating in the clockwise direction, the arm 50 is pushed against the restoring force.
Pull the ride 30 inward.
If the tube 16 is provided with a hopper or the tube 16 is replaced with a hopper
In this case, the reciprocating motion of the slide 30 is used to drive the agitator in the hopper,
Make sure there are no empty coins in the tube 16.
