1354635 Coin dispensers AUTONUMIS Ltd 3 Jan 1973 [1 Feb 1972] 4671/72 Heading G4X A coin changing machine comprises a plurality of coin storage tubes, a plate 19 rotatable beneath the tubes to dispense coins and a coinfreed mechanism to permit rotation of the plate. In the embodiment described six tubes (1) to (6) (Figs. 1 and 2, not shown) are provided, located equidistantly around the circumference of a common circle, and the coins are normally retained in the tubes by projecting members 17 of an insert 13, Fig. 4. The plate 19 has six apertures 21 and six studs 22 which on rotation of the plate move between members 17 to dislodge coins from the tubes and allow them to fall through the corresponding aperture 21. The inserts 13 are replaceable so as to adjust the number of coins dispensed on each part rotation of the plate and a number of studs 22 may be removed so that coins are not dispensed from all six tubes at each operation. After the deposition of a coin a plunger (24) is freed to be pulled outwardly, thus removing a blocking arm 28 from the path of a lug 32 on the plate 19, and when the plunger is returned a part (33) of the plunger engages a further lug 32 to rotate the plate through 60 degrees. Anticlockwise rotation of plate 19 is prevented by a pivoted arm 34.
