Low temperature manufacturing method for plastic blow molded products.
The present invention relates to a low-temperature manufacturing method for a plastic blow-molded product according to the preamble of claim 1.
Related.
Plastic blow-molded products are especially useful in the packaging industry, where many materials are packaged.
used. Blow molded articles of this type are manufactured by various prior art techniques.
It is.
For example, the method known from DE1816771B2 is the forced air method (rammed air process
ss) to expand the blow molded product and then simply cool the molded product during the mold cooling process
Is what you do. This classical method is still used today for very thin wall blow moldings.
Exert a high degree of effectiveness. However, for blow-molded products with thick walls, this
The method has the disadvantage of a long cycle time. In addition, inside the blow molded product or
Or the water droplets that adhere to it cause deformation of the blow molded product, and blow molding
Damage to the surface quality of the product will often occur.
The method known from DE2160854C3 is a thermoplastic composite made by blow molding
The hollow body of material is cooled in a blow mold by quenching a refrigerant consisting of air.
Then, it is a method of injecting it with high pressure to make a final product.
Inside the hollow body, the refrigerant causes adiabatic expansion like explosion and adheres to the wall of the blow molded product.
It is such a method for producing fine ice crystals which cool the molded article. cold
If water is used as the medium, the surface area of the blow mandrel and / or the ice of the blow mold is frozen.
The risk of crystal formation increases, which also causes the disadvantages mentioned above.
Confuse. Even with this method, the cycle time and the quality of the blow molded product are satisfactory.
Not.
In another method according to DE2442254B2, the compressed air consists of nitrogen or argon.
It is added to the blow gas temporarily and this additional feed is interrupted before the final expansion pressure is reached.
It is. This method also causes the above-mentioned disadvantages. Known from DE2223580C3
In the method, nitrogen or argon is used to make the blow molded product, but compressed air is used.
No additional energy is added. Both methods propose external cooling.
In the device known from DE2636262B2 the expansion of the blow molded product is
Is done by introducing carbon dioxide into the molded article through a supply pipe for
You. Other supply pipes may be used to cool and / or solidify the expanded blow molded product.
For this purpose, it is used to introduce a coolant into the cavity of the blow mold. Also in this case
, Long cycle times and / or the risk of water droplet sticking and the risks associated with these problems.
Profit is made.
The device according to DE3337651C2 consists of two blow mold halves of relatively low mass.
It has a low die, both halves are surrounded by heating halves of relatively large mass.
This envelopment is due to the large mass of the heating mold half in the blow mold.
This is so that the blow-molded product can be cooled rapidly. This is the disadvantage
In addition to the benefits, it adds complexity to the equipment and further reduces the cooling temperature to a sufficiently low value.
Cannot be set.
In the method known from DE2817472C2, the blow-molded product is a mixture of cold air and water.
The compound expands and / or cools from the inside, but the disadvantages mentioned above are
It happens even if there is.
In the blow molded product manufacturing method known from DE3728208A1,
Is first expanded, followed by injection of a refrigerant into the blow-molded article. This
In this case, water is proposed as the refrigerant. But also derived from DE3728208A1
The same type of method is
It has the same benefits as the rest of the line technology.
Is US 4,091,059 the same type of method for producing plastic blow molded parts?
Are known. Air is introduced into the parison that is inserted into the blow mold. Parison
And / or blow-molded articles are hot, using moldable conditions, using blow mandrels
Air that is expanded by normal air and used subsequently for cooling is below -41 ° C.
It is cooled to a temperature that is neither above nor below it.
A known method for molding synthetic materials from US 3,937,609 involves the use of dry air to deposit water droplets.
Used to be evacuated during the molding process to prevent preheating.
In short, all known methods, especially the internal cooling methods described above, are difficult to remanufacture,
The formation of ice is technically vulnerable, economically problematic, and other numbers
It has many disadvantages.
Prior art processes using cold gas only operate at relatively high temperatures, for example -41 ° C.
U. Gas cannot be used very effectively to cool to this high temperature. So
This is because the gas density at this temperature reduces its relative heat capacity.
You. To provide sufficient cooling, a very thin walled parison and / or co
This is only possible in the case of antennas, but otherwise it requires a large amount of cold gas.
Must. This technique is referred to as employing the so-called "mechanical cooling method".
Disadvantages of this type of mechanical cooling method known for example from US 4,091,059
Suitable for heavy-walled parisons and / or containers with thick walls to remove
Has developed. Such techniques include, for example, water and other cold materials that have a relatively high heat capacity.
A medium is used. However, these methods use four specific methods involving freezing and condensation of water droplets.
It causes problems and may cause other problems as well, including those mentioned above.
A classical way of post-cooling blow-molded parts via a cooling die and / or blow mold
Even the forced air method (lamd air method), anyway, has a limit on the refrigerant temperature
ing. If it goes beyond this limit, it is inevitable as a result of cooling die and cold die.
This is because a condensation effect that cannot be done occurs.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a low temperature method for making plastic blow molded articles,
Specifically, the present invention provides an improved cycle while reducing blow molded product costs.
Relates to a method for the production of mass blow molded articles, which can be carried out in time
.
This object is achieved by the method defined in claim 1.
Advantageous method aspects are indicated in the dependent claims.
The benefits achieved with the present invention are that the air that has been dried before being introduced into the parison is
This is achieved by using it as a blowing medium. Furthermore, it is highly cooled
Introduce dry air into the expanded parison and / or to cool the blow molded article
I do. In addition to this, blow mandrels and / or blow molds
Purge and / or flush with warm, dry air while the mold is open.
Chilled air has a temperature between about -50 ° C and about -170 ° C, preferably between -90 ° C and about -170 ° C.
This temperature according to the invention has a relatively high concentration of chilled air and therefore a high temperature.
Blow of thick wall and / or of relatively large mass
The moldings dry and are manufacturable with low cycle times.
As opposed to "mechanical cooling", the present invention relates to "cryogenic cooling".
A relatively low temperature is a relatively low temperature for both gas and / or air
The advantage that the relative heat capacity per volume becomes relatively large because it becomes dense
There is.
In any case, use dry air to prevent water droplets from adhering and to cool and dry.
Dry air also has higher cooling performance in KJ / kg units than ordinary compressed air, and
In the case of complicated products with external shapes, it is necessary to generate snow more than carbon dioxide and liquid nitrogen.
Due to the fact, there are far fewer problems. Furthermore, when opening the blow mold, blow
Purging the mold and / or blow mandrel prevents freezing of the involved parts
You. Water drops inside the blow-molded product can be blow-molded by using dry air.
Is removed at a high degree in each stage of.
In addition to this, the Bromandrel and / or the needle of the Bromandrel
At the same time, the dry and especially warm air of the blow mold
It acts on the inside and prevents the moisture in the room air from condensing on the cold inner contour of the blow mold.
It is possible to This is important on the one hand for the quality of the surface of the part.
Yes, on the other hand one for cooling the blow-molded article and / or the blow mold
Enables low cooling medium temperatures.
Use of increased pressure in internal cooling avoids blow molded part shrinkage
You can This can significantly improve heat transfer from the mold to the molded part
To
Liquid nitrogen can be used for cooling dry air or for other purposes, such as in the fluorination process.
It is particularly advantageous to be able to use it as a gas mixture or a purge gas.
In this case, the pressure of the gaseous nitrogen produced during cooling should be adapted to the subsequent process.
You can
Generally, it is dried by a dryer, specifically an adsorber, etc.
The use of air cooled by indirect heat exchange is customary in the forced air method.
Avoids the need to cool the blowman drel with water. The method according to the present invention is a play
A surprisingly short cycle time, which is significantly reduced, i.e. by more than 40%
I do. This method is exemplary for reproducibility.
According to an advantageous method example, employed to create the required low temperature of dry air
Liquid nitrogen is used first as a refrigerant, which is then the technology as the warm dry inert gas.
The fact that it is used as a second time has resulted in significant cost efficiency improvements.
Sir.
According to an exemplary method of the present invention, the required reduction in cycle time and / or
The output of the blow molding machine equipped for the method is increased, upstream and downstream of the blow mold.
Controlling pressure differential, controlling dry air temperature and purging with dry air
By controlling the time it takes to process each process parameter required
It can be achieved by prescribing.
To increase the cycle time improvement achieved by the present invention, a plastic
It is necessary that the nitrogen consumption amount expressed in kg amount of nitrogen per 1 kg of mass is large.
Therefore, the optimum value is a specific function of the blow-molded product, blow mold and blow-molding machine.
Low temperature for producing plastic blow molded products, which carry out the following steps
The law is particularly beneficial.
As a blowing medium, air is introduced into the parison inserted in the blow mold. this
The parison is moldable when hot and it expands through the Bromandrel.
To be made. The expanded mandrel is cooled and dried. Paris expanding cold air
Introduce to Son and cool it. The air that acts as the blowing medium should be expanded
It is dried before being introduced into the parison. This dry air is sent to the heat exchanger or precooler.
The deep-cooling coming from the low-temperature cooler, pre-cooled by gaseous nitrogen, then low-temperature cooling
In the reactor with evaporating liquid nitrogen having a temperature of about -180 ° C to about -196 ° C.
Further cooling by contact heat exchange to the desired temperature of about -50 ° C to -170 ° C
. Compressed air can also be used advantageously. Blow mold and blow mandrel are husband
Each one
After the process and before the next blow process, while the blow mold is open
Purge and flush with warm dry air. Blow mold
The image processing is performed via the Bromandrel. Blouman via bromandrell
Purging the raw mold keeps the blow mold free of condensate
And maintaining the Blomann drel in the absence of condensate and ice.
Will be possible.
The present invention will now be described in more detail by way of preferred examples with reference to the accompanying drawings.
These figures further illustrate the benefits and structure of the present invention.
Figure 1 Block die of an apparatus designed for the method according to the invention
The yagram is shown.
2 shows a partial cross section of detail X in FIG.
The mandrel design is shown in cross section.
FIG. 1 is suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention and / or one example method of the invention.
It is a device.
An air stream, specifically compressed air, is introduced into the pressure controlled dryer 3 and dried there.
. This dryer 3 is equipped with two adsorbers, specifically, bed adsorbers.
The other is regenerated while the other is being used for drying. Regeneration is adsorption
By releasing the pressure from the vessel and at the same time letting dry air through it.
I can go. This switching interval depends on the adsorption performance of the adsorbent. In principle,
A dryer may be used, but a tandem bed adsorber is preferred. The prior art has various designs
Since there is a dryer, further detailed description of the dryer 3 is unnecessary.
The heat exchanger which cools the air dried in the dryer 3 and / or the compressed air in advance.
Alternatively, it is poured into the precooler 4. This pre-cooling process
It is carried out by heat exchange with nitrogen coming from the cryocooler 5. This nitrogen was previously
It is slightly preheated. The pre-cooled dry compressed air is then fed to the cryocooler 5
At a predetermined desired temperature of -50 ° C to about -170 ° C, preferably -90 ° C to -170 ° C.
It is cooled with liquid nitrogen every time, but in this low temperature cooler 5, the liquid nitrogen becomes compressed air.
It is evaporated and preheated by indirect heat exchange, and then the heat exchanger 4 for precooling compressed air.
