Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wash slag covered on fine holes of a through hole plug by integrating the conventional porous plug and the through hole plug, penetrating molten metal into the porous plug and using as fire source at the time of oxygen- washing. SOLUTION: In the porous plug for blowing gas, the center part having 1/3-2/3 of cross sectional area is formed in the porous plug 3 and the remaining outer peripheral part is formed in a penetrated hole type 2 slit plug 1. The recovering ratio of gas flow quantity with the oxygen washing can be made to 100% from 93% of the conventional plug by integrating the porous plug and the through hole plug.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a gas blowing plug used in a metallurgical ladle.

2. Description of the Related Art For refining molten metal, it is common practice to blow a gas into the molten metal. For this refining, a gas blowing plug is used on the wall or bottom of the metallurgical ladle. Heretofore, a porous plug has been the mainstream for this gas-blown plug, but recently, a through-hole plug in which a large number of linear pores are penetrated through a dense material has been used.

Since there is little problem of molten metal penetrating into the fine holes in a through plug having fine holes through a dense refractory material, oxygen cleaning can be performed when slag is attached to the tip of the plug. It had the drawback of being difficult.

Therefore, as a countermeasure against this, the slag is discharged while blowing inert gas from the through-hole plug,
Although slag is prevented from adhering to the tip of the through-hole plug,
It was difficult to say that this is a preferable method in consideration of safety, because it is necessary to connect a pipe to the bottom of the metal ladle.

[Means for Solving the Problems] By integrating a conventional porous plug and a through-hole plug into one body, molten metal is permeated into the porous plug and used as a spark during oxygen cleaning to cover the pores of the through-hole plug. The above problems can be solved by washing the slag. The integral shape of the porous plug and the through-hole plug according to the present invention can be arbitrarily set.

EXAMPLES The present invention is described below based on examples. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a gas blowing plug according to the present invention. The upper end diameter is 116 mm and the lower end diameter is φ.
The external shape is 169 mm and the total length is 340 mm. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 is a dense material, 2 is a slit-like pore, and 3 is a porous plug. FIG. 2 is an example of a vertical cross-sectional shape. 90 tons of this refractory for gas blowing LF
It was set in the ladle for use. As a result, the same method of using the porous plug was used, and gas injection at the time of slag was not necessary.
