Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce and interrupt a refrigerant flowing sound by covering an expansion mechanism including a straightner, an electronic expansion valve, and a siren horn with a soundproofing plate fixed to a heat exchanger and a water pan. SOLUTION: An expansion mechanism is connected with the side of a heat exchanger 6, the expansion mechanism including a straightner 2, an electronic expansion valve 3, an silencer 4, and a distributor 5 for distributing a refrigerant. A water pan 9 is fixed to a lower part of the heat exchanger 6. A soundproofing plate 1 is fixed to the heat exchanger 6 with a screw 1a and to the water pan 9 with a screw 1b so as to cover the expansion mechanism. Hereby, a refrigerant flowing sound produced from the expansion mechanism is interrupted without being transmitted to an air suction inlet 7 and an air outlet 8. Accordingly, the refrigerant flowing sound is prevented from leaking to the outside.

Thus, by covering the expansion mechanism, which is the source of the refrigerant flow noise, it is possible to prevent the refrigerant flow noise propagated to the air suction port and the air discharge port from leaking to the outside. In addition, the sound damping plate not only has a sound insulating effect, but is fixed to the heat exchanger, so that the surface on the heat exchanger side can be eliminated as a sound damping plate, making it easy to install it in a limited space and reducing the amount of water received. Also, by fixing it, there is no fear of resonance.

As a result, the refrigerant flowing sound generated from the expansion mechanism is blocked without being propagated to the air suction port 7 and the air discharge port 8. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the refrigerant flowing sound from leaking to the outside. Further, since the sound damping plate 1 is fixed to the heat exchanger 6, it is easy to install it in a limited narrow space, and when it is fixed to the water receiver, the sound damping plate 1 itself resonates and the refrigerant flow. You can also turn off the sound without expanding it.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment, in which the sound damping plate 1 is formed with a large number of triangular irregularities.
As indicated by an arrow 12 in the partially enlarged view shown on the right side of the figure, the refrigerant flowing sound is reflected on the surface of the noise suppressing plate 1. Then, since the directions thereof are mixed, the refrigerant flow noise is dispersed and its energy is consumed and reduced.

FIG. 5 shows still another embodiment, in which the sound absorbing material 13 is attached to the inner surface of the sound damping plate 1 over the entire surface. Here, as the sound absorbing material 13, a soft material such as felt is used. This makes it possible to absorb the refrigerant flow noise generated by the expansion mechanism near the inner surface of the noise control plate 1. Therefore, not only the specific frequency of the refrigerant flowing sound but also the noise can be further reduced in a wide frequency range.
