Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of a case toward its back if the case is exerted with a force to pull it toward the back, so that the force does not work on projecting and recessed fitting parts where the case and a lid part are fitted together. SOLUTION: This mounting device has a case 1 open on its front and a lid part 2 mounted in the front opening in the case 1, and is used suitably for mounting electrical equipment such as a time switch in a hole 4 in a panel 3 in which it is mounted. A projecting piece 5 formed at the edge of the front opening in the case 1 and the outer surface of the lid 2 are locked together by a fit between the projecting and recessed parts. The fit between the projecting and recessed parts is achieved by fitting the projection 6 formed on the outer surface of the lid part 2 into a hole (or recess) 7 formed in the middle of the projecting piece 5. A positioning projecting part 8 formed outward from the front end of the projecting piece 5 has its back substantially positioned and a abutted to the front surface of the edge of the hole 4 in the panel 3.

2. Description of the Related Art Some electric devices such as a time switch are provided with a case whose front surface is open and a lid portion which is attached to the front opening of this case. A device for mounting an electric device in a hole of a panel, comprising: a case having a front surface opened; and a lid part mounted on the front surface opening of the case and having an outwardly extending flange portion on the front surface side. The protruding piece partially formed on the front opening edge of the case and the outer side surface of the lid are locked by the concave and convex fitting, and the positioning protruding portion formed outward at the front end of the protruding piece is the flange portion.
