Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a can from being dented and a bottle from breaking by forming on each side of a rectangular cardboard a ridge in the shape of an inverted V formed of the cardboard bent upward and tuned down halfway and by forming notches at prescribed intervals therein on which for cans, bottles or the like to rest. SOLUTION: Each of flap parts 2 on two sides of a rectangular cardboard 1 is formed into a ridge 5 in the shape of an inverted V by being bent upward from a discontinuous line of incisions 3 and tuned down from the median line 4 of the bent part as the apex. In these ridges 5 notches 6 are provided at prescribed intervals so that beverage cans can be held with their respective upper parts and bottom parts in the notches. Each of the beverage cans is supported on upper part-holding arc-shaped parts 7, 8 and on bottom part-holding arc-shaped parts 9, 10 and leaves a space under the drum part. Even if the package collapses during distribution and the can is displaced somewhat, the two ends of the can are fixed by partition boards. The shock absorber obtainable according to this constitution is simple in structure, effective on a beverage can, bottle, etc., and its disposal as waste involves no problems relating to environmental hazards.

Means for Achieving the Object To achieve the above object, the present inventor has conducted extensive studies and as a result, a dent at the time of dropping often occurs near the center body of a beverage can. Since the compressive strength is high near the part, dents are unlikely to occur, and if there is no space between the center body of the beverage can and the bottom of the box, it will cause dents, for example of aerated plastic sheet (air cap) Paying attention to the fact that even soft cushioning material such as this will cause dents when present in this space, the dents can be formed by supporting both ends of the beverage can so that the vicinity of the center body of the beverage can forms a space. Therefore, they have found that the cushioning material constructed in such a erected shape is also effective for preventing breakage of the beverage bottle, and completed the present invention.

First, in FIG. 1, both side flaps 2, 2 of a rectangular paper board 1 are bent upward through cuts provided discontinuously at the positions 3, 3, and the folded parts Inverted V-shaped protrusions 5 and 5 formed by folding back downward with the central portions 4 and 4 as apexes, the cutout portions 6 and 6 (so that the upper and bottom portions of the beverage can are placed and held respectively. As an example, there is shown a perspective view of an embodiment in which the notches shown are symmetrical arcuate curved surfaces) provided at predetermined intervals, that is, so that the beverage cans to be placed are connected to each other. The both side flap portions 2 and 2 are shaped to be easily bent at the central portions 4 and 4, but may be bent at the central portions if necessary. FIG. 2 is a development view of the cushioning material shown in FIG. The beverage can, as shown in FIG.
The lower side of the can body portion is supported by 8 and the bottom installation arcuate portions 9 and 10 to form a space. Therefore, immediately after the beverage can is installed in the cutout portion, it is supported at four points 7, 8, 9, and 10. Even if this state collapses and moves during distribution, since both ends of the beverage can are fixed by the partition plates, they are supported at at least three points and are not removed from the notches. Further, when the movement of the beverage can toward both ends is severe, both side flap portions 2 and 2 of this cushioning material are bent into mountain folds at the central portions 4 and 4 to form an inverted V shape. Since the elastic action that tends to become flat acts, when the product is installed in the packaging box, the folded back end of the flap portion is brought into close contact with the inner surface of the packaging box.

FIG. 4 shows another embodiment in which trapezoidal projections 11 and 11 are formed instead of the inverted V-shaped projections shown in FIG. 1, and FIG. 5 is a development view thereof. . In this configuration, two fold lines 12 and 13 are provided on both side flap portions, respectively, so that the space between the top placing arcuate portions 7 and 8 of the beverage can and the space between the bottom placing arcuate portions 9 and 10 of the beverage can are formed. Since it is expanded, large-sized beverage cans, bottles, etc. can be stably placed.
