Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join an olefinic resin sheet simply in a watertight manner by using a seaming liquid, in which a non-olefinic solvent-soluble resin is dissolved, by treating the side end faces of the olefinic resin sheet with a specific primer liquid. SOLUTION: The films 2, 2 of chlorinated polyolefin are formed by coating the obliquely cut side end faces of olefinic/resin sheets 1, 1 to be mutually joined with a primer liquid containing chlorinated polyolefin, and the olefinic resin sheets 1, 1 are arranged on a foundation 3 such as a floor and stuck with adhesives. The mutual clearance 4 of the sheets is formed in an upwards fan-shaped grooved form by forming the side end faces in an inclined plane at that time. Masking tapes 5, 5 are stuck on the top-face end sections of the sheets 1, 1, the surfaces of the films 2, 2 are dissolved in the organic solvent of a seaming liquid 7 by filling the mutual clearance 4 of the sheets with the seaming liquid 7 from the head nozzle 6a of a vessel 6, both films and seaming liquid are campatibilized and cured, and both sheets 1, 1 are joined watertightly.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a vinyl chloride resin sheet has been used as a floor material. Such a vinyl chloride resin sheet is obtained by resin-welding the gaps between the sheets with a welding rod of vinyl chloride resin, or by filling the gaps between the sheets with a seam liquid for the vinyl chloride resin sheet and curing them. Since it can be easily joined, it is suitable for applications such as flooring materials that require watertightness.

When the primer solution containing the chlorinated polyolefin is applied to the side end surface of the olefin resin sheet as in the joining method of the present invention, the chlorinated polyolefin has high affinity and compatibility with the olefin resin of the sheet. , A chlorinated polyolefin coating adhered to the side edges of the sheet is formed. Then, when the seam liquid in which the non-olefin solvent-soluble resin is dissolved is filled in the gap between the sheets in which this film is formed on the side end surface, the surface of the film is seam liquid because the chlorinated polyolefin is solvent-soluble. It dissolves in an organic solvent and becomes compatible with the solvent-soluble resin of the seam liquid, and as it cures, the solvent-soluble resin and the chlorinated polyolefin coating strongly adhere to each other, and the gaps between the sheets are watertightly joined.

In that case, if the seam liquid overflows from the gaps between the sheets, "burrs" will be produced at the joints and the appearance will be impaired. If the seam liquid overflows from the space between the sheets onto the masking tape, the “burrs” can be easily removed by peeling off the masking tape after curing.

When the primer liquid is applied to the sheet-side end surface 1a, the chlorinated polyolefin itself contained in the primer liquid has a high affinity and compatibility with the olefin resin of the sheet. The polyolefin coating 2 can be formed. As the primer liquid, a commercially available primer liquid containing chlorinated polyethylene having a relatively high chlorination rate and easily dissolved in a solvent (for example, PP-2 manufactured by Sunstar Giken Co., Ltd.) is particularly preferably used. Of course, a primer solution containing a chlorinated polyolefin other than chlorinated polyethylene can also be used. In this embodiment, the side end surface 1a of the seat 1 is
The coating 2 is formed only on the side end surface 1a of the sheet 1.
The coating 2 may be formed so as to wrap around from the top to the bottom.

After the application of the olefin resin sheet is completed, as shown in FIG. 2, masking tapes 5 and 5 are attached to the upper end portions of the sheets 1 and 1, and the tip nozzle 6a of the container 6 is attached.
The seam liquid 7 is filled into the gap 4 between the sheets. Although the masking tape 5 may be separately attached to the upper end portions of the sheets 1 and 1, the wide masking tape 5 is attached to the upper end portions of both sheets 1 and 1 so as to cover the gap 4 between the sheets. When the tape 5 is cut along the gap 4 after wearing,
It is preferable because the workability of sticking is improved.

When such a seam liquid 7 is filled in the gaps 4 between the sheets, the chlorinated polyolefin such as chlorinated polyethylene forming the coatings 2 and 2 is a solvent-soluble resin having properties close to those of polyvinyl chloride. , Coating 2, 2
Of the seam liquid 7 is dissolved in the organic solvent of the seam liquid 7, and the solvent-soluble resin of the seam liquid 7 and the dissolved chlorinated polyolefin are compatibilized and cured on the surfaces of the coating films 2 and 2. Therefore, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 5, the solvent-soluble resin 7a cured and the chlorinated polyolefin coatings 2 and 2 are firmly welded in the space between the sheets, and both sheets 1 and 1 are watertightly joined by the solvent-soluble resin 7a.

When the seam liquid 7 is filled in the gaps 4 between the sheets as described above, the seam liquid 7 easily overflows from the gaps 4. However, as in this embodiment, the masking tapes 5, 5 are used for the sheets 1, 1. When it is attached to the upper end of 1, the masking tapes 5, 5 can be peeled off when the seam fluid 7 overflows onto the masking tapes 5, 5 when the seam fluid 7 is in a semi-cured state. As a result, it is possible to prevent "burrs" from being generated at the joint portion, so that there is no fear of impairing the aesthetics.

As is apparent from the above description, in the joining method of the present invention, the side end surface of the olefin resin sheet, which had to be joined by a troublesome means of resin welding, is treated with a specific primer liquid. As a result, there is a remarkable effect that the seam solution in which the non-olefin solvent-soluble resin is dissolved can be simply and watertightly joined.
