炉蓋とを組み合せると共に、前記炉体の開口部に周設し
たドアフレームに対し、前記炉蓋の閉塞面に圧着用バネ
部を介して設けられるナイフエッジを密着当接させる炉
蓋の閉塞構造において、前記ドアフレームの内側への変
形の如何に拘らず、炉操業に際して前記ドアフレームの
内面と前記キャスタブルとの間に常時所要量の被処理原
料炭が介在されるだけの空間部を設定したことを特徴と
するコークス炉における炉蓋のガス漏れ防止装置。
