Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cross-talk without the solid-crossing of connection portions and provide a miniaturized connector with high productibility. SOLUTION: Plural contact parts 1 are arranged nearly in parallel. One side of adjacent each pair of the contacts 1 is connected to a connection portion 3 at an upper end. Therefore, the cross-talk current generated at a counterpart side connector and the cross-talk current at the contact part 1 is opposite- phased, and the cross-talk current is neutralized each other in a connection state with the contact part 1. In addition, since cross-talk restriction function is realized at the contact part 1, the connection portion does not need to have the cross-talk restriction function, the length of the connection portion 3 can be shortened, and the connection portion 3 leads to miniaturization.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, the amount of information to be transmitted has dramatically increased in the field of telecommunications, so that high-speed signal transmission is required. Since it is necessary to use a high-frequency signal for high-speed transmission, the amount of crosstalk between signal lines due to electrostatic coupling becomes large. That is, in order to prevent deterioration of signal quality, it is necessary to reduce the amount of crosstalk, and in order to perform high-speed signal transmission, it is necessary to prevent crosstalk not only in the signal line but also in the connector. To be done.

By the way, a connector generally used for communication has a structure in which two connectors (plug and jack) are connected to each other, and a contact portion connected to the other one and a terminal portion connecting an external electric wire (signal line). A connecting portion for internally connecting the contact portion and the terminal portion is formed of a conductor, and these conductors have portions arranged in parallel with each other in one plane. In such a parallel portion, the crosstalk current flows because the capacitive components between the conductors that transmit other signals to each other become unbalanced. Further, since the signal type allocation and the positional relationship are fixedly determined by the standard in the contact section, there is a problem that the degree of freedom in design is low and it is difficult to reduce crosstalk in the contact section.

Therefore, in this type of connector, it is considered to arrange the connecting portion so that the crosstalk between the terminal portions of the plug and the jack is reduced in a state where the plug and the jack are connected to each other. In this case, the connector on the plug side is smaller in size than the connector on the jack side, and it is difficult to change the arrangement of the connection portion. It is common to devise the arrangement. Further, as described above, there is a restriction on the arrangement of the contact portion and the degree of freedom of arrangement of the terminal portion is also low. Therefore, attempts have been made to reduce crosstalk depending on the arrangement relation of the connection portions.

For example, the electric connector shown in FIG. 6 disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-84562 is an 8-pole modular jack type connector, in which a contact portion 1 and an external electric wire which come into contact with the modular plug type connector are connected. It has a configuration in which a part of the connecting portion 3 provided between the terminal portion 2 to be connected is crossed. Specifically, when the contact portion 1 is numbered from the front (left side of the figure),
, And the connecting portions 3 connected to the contact portions 1 of each pair cross each other. The main purpose of this configuration is to prevent crosstalk between pairs of pairs.

By the way, in the above-mentioned structure, since a part of the connecting portion 3 arranged on a substantially one plane is crossed three-dimensionally, there is a vertical relation of the connecting portion 3 at the intersecting portion. There is a restriction on the assembly order.
In addition, a bending process of a complicated shape is required due to the three-dimensional intersection. Therefore, the assemblability and the workability are inferior, and as a result, there is a problem that the productivity cannot be improved.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a plurality of contact portions arranged substantially parallel to each other so as to make electrical contact with the contact portion of a mating connector, and an external electric wire. A plurality of terminal portions connected to each other, a plurality of connecting portions electrically connecting the corresponding contact portions and the respective terminal portions, and an insulating material holding the contact portions, the terminal portions and the connecting portions. With a base consisting of
One of at least a pair of adjacent contact parts is characterized in that one end side in the longitudinal direction is connected to the connecting part and the other end side is connected to the connecting part at the other end side in the longitudinal direction.

According to this structure, one of the pair of adjacent contact portions is connected to the connecting portion at one end side in the longitudinal direction, and the other is connected to the connecting portion at the other end side in the longitudinal direction. As a result, the crosstalk current generated in the mating connector and the crosstalk current generated in the contact portion have opposite phases, and as a result, the crosstalk current is offset and reduced. Moreover, since crosstalk is suppressed by changing the position at which the connecting portion is connected to the contact portion, there is no crossing site, complicated bending is unnecessary, and restrictions are placed on the assembly sequence. There is no such thing, resulting in high productivity. Further, since crosstalk can be suppressed without increasing the distance between the connecting portions, as a result, the distance between the connecting portions can be reduced, which leads to downsizing.

By the way, the wiring allocation of the contact portion 1 is defined in ANSI / EIA / TIA-568 (commercial building communication wiring standard), and as shown in FIG. When the part 1 is arranged so as to project from the top to the bottom, terminal numbers are assigned in the order of from left to right. At this time, the color code of the electric wire electrically connected to each contact part 1 is defined as follows. To be done. In other words, white-orange, orange, white-
Green, blue, white-blue, green, white-brown, and brown (white-X (X: orange, green, blue, brown) are colored in two colors, white and X, over the entire length. Represents that).
In addition, the electric wires L 1 to L 8 connected to the terminal portion 2 are twisted pair wires, and the electric wires L 1 to L 8 of the contact portion 1 ,.
The connection relationship is defined so that each pair becomes. That is, a pair of twisted-pair wires is a wire in which the insulating coating is a single color and a white ground wire in which the insulating coating is white and two colors of other colors are twisted together. The colors that are not the same are adopted as the colors of the pair of color lines. For example, the white line is 2 for white and green
When it is a color, the color line is paired with the green one. In addition to such color code specifications for electric wires, the near-end crosstalk amount between pairs of wires is also specified.

Here, since the pair of is arranged between the pair of, if the connecting portions 3 are formed on one plane, the capacitance components between the connecting portions 3 become unbalanced. Become. That is, the crosstalk current easily flows between the pair and the pair, and the crosstalk current increases especially when the frequency of the signal becomes high. Also, for other pairs, the crosstalk amount increases as the frequency increases.

According to the present invention, however, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, one of the adjacent contact portions 1 is continuous with the connecting portion 3 at the lower end and the other is continuous with the connecting portion 3 at the upper end.
Here, the odd-numbered contact portion 1 has the connecting portion 3 continuous at the upper end, and the even-numbered contact portion 1 has the connecting portion 3 continuous at the lower end. That is, part of the contact portion 1 projects rearward and upward from the lower front end of the connection recess 14, and the remaining contact portion 1 projects forward and downward from the upper rear end of the connection recess 14. By the way, the terminal portions 2 are arranged in two rows in front and rear as is clear from FIG. That is, each two terminal portions 2 forming a pair are arranged in the front and rear. With this arrangement, the front and rear terminal cormorants 2 can partially overlap each other in the left-right direction. The width can be narrowed, and as a result, the width of the connector can be narrowed. Also, the front and rear terminal pieces 2
It suffices to separate a so that an insulation distance can be secured, and since each terminal piece 2a has a small thickness, the size of the base 10 in the front-rear direction does not increase significantly even if it is arranged in two rows in the front-rear direction. . Further, since the adjacent connection portions 3 are vertically separated from each other, the distance between the adjacent connection portions 3 can be made relatively large even if the left and right distances between the adjacent connection portions 3 are made relatively small. As a result, the overall left and right dimensions can be made relatively small, which leads to downsizing. In addition, since the contact part 1 has most of the function of suppressing the crosstalk, the function of suppressing the crosstalk hardly depends on the connection part 3, and as a result, the length of the connection part 3 can be shortened. This is also possible, which also leads to miniaturization of the connector.

According to the present invention, a plurality of contact portions arranged substantially parallel to each other so as to make electrical contact with a contact portion of a mating connector, and a plurality of terminal portions connected to an external electric wire are provided. At least a pair of adjacent connecting parts, each of which has a plurality of connecting parts that electrically connect the corresponding contact part and each terminal part, and a base made of an insulating material that holds the contact parts, the terminal parts, and the connecting parts. One of the contact parts has one end in the longitudinal direction connected to the connecting part, and the other has the other end in the longitudinal direction connected to the connecting part. Therefore, the crosstalk current generated in the mating connector and the contact part occur in the contact part. There is an advantage that the crosstalk current has a phase opposite to that of the crosstalk current, and as a result, the crosstalk current is offset and reduced. Moreover, since crosstalk is suppressed by changing the position at which the connecting portion is connected to the contact portion, there is no crossing site, complicated bending is unnecessary, and restrictions are placed on the assembly sequence. Therefore, there is an advantage that high productivity can be obtained as a result. In addition, crosstalk can be suppressed without increasing the distance between the connection parts, and since the crosstalk suppression function does not depend on the connection part by providing the contact part with most of the crosstalk suppression function, It is possible to shorten the length of the connection portion between the terminal portion and the terminal portion. in this way,
Since the space occupied by the connection part can be reduced,
It has an advantage that it leads to downsizing as a whole.

By the way, the terminal portions 2 are arranged in two rows in front and rear as is clear from FIG. That is, each two terminal portions 2 forming a pair are arranged in the front and rear. With this arrangement, the front and rear terminal portions 2 can partially overlap each other in the left-right direction, so that the left and right sides of the space in which the terminal portions 2 are arranged can be compared to when the terminal portions 2 are arranged in one row. The width can be narrowed, and as a result, the width of the connector can be narrowed. Also, the front and rear terminal pieces 2
It suffices to separate a so that an insulation distance can be secured, and since each terminal piece 2a has a small thickness, the dimension of the base 10 in the front-rear direction does not increase significantly even if it is arranged in two rows in the front-rear direction.
