Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining device for glass plates capable of following up from the flat glass plates to the shapes of curved glass plates having various kinds of curvature by a kind of slit. SOLUTION: The draining device for splashing and removing washing water by injecting gas to both surfaces of the glass plate supplied by a transporting means consists of a pair of variable-shaped chambers 21, 31 which are provided with slit-like apertures 25, 35 on the glass plate surface side in upper and lower positions facing the glass plate 1 surface and consist of soft and pressure resistant sheet materials, a pair of curvature adjusting means 11 which support these chambers and vary the slit positions so as to meet the curvature of the curved glass plate and a pair of spacing adjusting means 41, 51 which simultaneously adjust the spacing between the glass plate surface and the slit-like apertures upward and downward. The distance between the slit-like apertures and the glass plate surface is made freely adjustable along the curving surface of the glass plate.

Cleaning of the glass plate surface,
If the draining process is not sufficient and dirt, water drops, etc. are attached to the surface of the glass plate, defects such as pinholes will occur on the surface of the glass plate that has been sputtered, and defects such as uneven filming will occur. In order to sufficiently remove water droplets, it was necessary to perform draining using a slit matched to the shape of the glass plate surface.

Since the one disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 62-49117 uses a sponge roll, it can respond to a change in curvature to some extent by deformation caused by pressing against the curved shape of the glass plate, but the pressing pressure on the glass plate surface is constant. Therefore, there was a problem that it could not be surely drained, and that the sponge deteriorated due to use over the years and the sponge fragments or dust attached to the sponge adhered to the glass plate surface. .

Further, the one disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-12279 is made of a flexible tubing which is flexible and conforms to a flat glass sheet suitable for a windshield glass plate of an automobile. It can be adjusted along the longitudinal direction to a linear arrangement and a predetermined curvature that adapts to the curved shape of the glass sheet, and the adjustment to the curved shape and the gap with the glass plate surface only by the position and angle of the rod. However, there is a problem in that it takes a lot of labor and time to make a severe adjustment.

Regarding the method of adjusting the slits of the glass plate draining apparatus according to the present invention, the curved glass plate 1 is stopped between the upper chamber 21 and the lower chamber 31, and is suspended from the central portion of the upper elevating frame 2. Based on the distance between the slit portion located in the chamber reinforcing frame 23 of the upper chamber 21 and the upper surface of the glass plate 1, the rod elevating and lowering adjusting unit 13 that can slide and move up and down on the upper elevating and lowering frame 2 is used to adjust the curvature adjusting rod 12. The position, the angle, and the height are adjusted so that the relative distance between the upper slit 25 and the upper surface of the glass plate 1 is set to be substantially the same according to the curved shape of the curved glass plate 1 and fixed.

Similarly, with respect to the lower chamber 31, a rod elevating and lowering adjusting portion 13 'which can slide and elevate on the lower elevating and lowering frame 3 based on the distance between the central portion of the lower slit 35 and the lower surface of the curved glass plate 1 is used as a reference. The position, angle, and height of the curvature adjusting rod 12 'are adjusted so that the lower slit 35 and the lower surface of the curved glass plate 1 have substantially the same relative distance according to the curved shape of the curved glass plate 1. Set and fix.

Next, the upper gap adjusting means 41 and the lower gap adjusting means 51 are respectively adjusted to appropriately adjust the gaps between the curved glass plate 1 surface and the upper slits 25 and the lower slits 35, thereby bending the curved glass plate 1. Since the upper slit or the lower slit moves up and down, respectively, while maintaining the state matched with the shape, the balance of the compressed air discharged from the upper slit 25 and the lower slit 35 can be easily adjusted.

Further, in general, when the nozzles of both the upper slit 25 and the lower slit 35 are directed obliquely to the upstream side, the scattered water escapes rearward, so that the draining performance is further improved as compared with the case of directing it vertically. To do.

Further, when compressed air is discharged from both sides of the glass plate 1 and when a sputtered film is vapor-deposited on the upper surface side of a curved glass plate which is conveyed horizontally as in the sputtering process, the draining and drying of the upper surface side is important. Must be
In order to prevent water droplets scattered from the lower side from wrapping around to the upper side, it is desirable to slightly shift the position of the lower slit 35 from the position of the upper slit 25 to the upstream side in the transport direction of the curved glass plate 1. This further improves drainage performance.

Industrial Applicability The present invention is a draining device which can cope with various curved glass shapes by a pair of flexible slits, and there is no need to replace the slits according to the curved shape as in the conventional case. Since it is not necessary to prepare a slit for each curved shape and can follow a glass plate having a new curved shape, the manufacturing cost can be reduced, the setup can be easily replaced, and the setup time can be further shortened. In addition, it can be easily adjusted to the curved surface shape of the glass plate, its simple structure allows easy adjustment work and can be adjusted severely, so the draining performance can be greatly improved and the yield can be improved. It is a thing.
