Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device for fish-breeding water tank causing no clogging in a filter element, requiring no cleaning operations for a long time and capable of feeding enough oxygen into water and maintaining good water quality. SOLUTION: This filter device for a fish-raising tank specifically consists of a filter unit 1 having a conical surface and consisting of a thin filter element, a precipitation decomposition vessel 2 which is connectedly installed under the filter unit, inlet tube 4a and 4b which lead from the top of the filter unit to above the water surface and a storage pump 6 which sucks water in the water tank, feeds water to the top opening of the inlet tube and circulates water. Almost all dusts in water introduced into the filter unit 1 through the inlet pipes 4a and 4b precipitate in the precipitation decomposition vessel 2 and are decomposed by microorganisms, thus, the filter element generates little clogging and good water quality can be maintained for a long time.

2. Description of the Related Art A conventional filtration device for purifying water in a fish tank has a filter material provided on the entire bottom surface of the tank, and all water sent by a pump passes through the filter material and is separated from the water. The filth was collected by the filter medium. As a result, the load on the filter medium becomes high, resulting in severe clogging and a large-scale work required for cleaning.

The above object is to provide a conical surface-shaped filter section made of a thin filter medium, a settling decomposition tank provided at the lower end of the filter section, and a top of the filter section leading to the water surface. This can be achieved by a filter device for a fish breeding aquarium, which comprises an introducing pipe and a pump for sucking water in the aquarium and supplying and circulating it to the top opening of the introducing pipe. With such a filter device, most of the wastewater in the water introduced into the filtration section through the introduction pipe settles in the settling / decomposition tank provided at the lower end of the filtration section and is decomposed by microorganisms. The filter material is unlikely to be clogged, and good water quality can be maintained for a long period of time.

In use, this filter device is submerged in a water tank for raising fish, and installed so that the tip of the introduction pipe 4b projects above the water surface. Introducing pipes 4a and 4b are connected so as to be telescopically slidable so as to correspond to the depth of water. Water near the bottom of the aquarium containing spoilage-causing substances such as fish dung and uneaten food is pumped up by the pumping pump 6 through the strainer 8 and the pumping pipe 7, and discharged from the tip of the discharge pipe 9 into the introducing pipe 4b. It The pumping pump 6 may be a submersible pump. On the water surface in the introduction pipe 4b, a float 5 of a color that is easily noticeable is floated, and it is easy to confirm the degree of clogging of the filter medium of the filtration unit 1 by the drop between the water surface in the introduction pipe 4b and the outside water surface. It is desirable that the water discharged from the discharge pipe 9 hits the float 5 and breaks, so that more oxygen in the air can be taken in.

The water that has flowed into the filtration unit 1 through the introduction pipes 4a and 4b flows out of the filtration unit, leaving the fish dung and the like contained therein. The filtering part 1 is composed of a thin porous filter material formed by, for example, forming polyethylene particles into a conical surface shape, and can be repeatedly used any number of times by washing the attached dirt. Thus, fine spoilage-causing substances contained in water are captured by the filter medium 1, but relatively large substances settle and accumulate in the sedimentation decomposition tank 2. A large number of microbial medium materials 3 made of porous ceramics having a large surface area are stored in the sedimentation and decomposition tank 2 so that the microorganisms can be easily proliferated. While being decomposed, harmful substances such as ammonia contained in water are also absorbed and used for the growth of microorganisms and purified. in this way,
Since a large causative substance is decomposed in the settling / decomposing tank 2 and decomposed, the amount of filth collected in the filter medium 1 is significantly smaller than that in the case of the conventional filter device, and clogging occurs for a long time. It is possible to continuously use the device without using it.

When the filter medium 1 becomes clogged due to long-term use, each part may be disassembled and washed, but as a simple method, as shown in FIG. 2, with the filter device installed in the water tank. It is also possible to remove the dirt attached to the filter medium 1 by using the household oil pump 10 or the like. That is, the plug 11 is fitted to the tip of the introduction pipe 4b, the suction pipe 10a of the oil pump 10 is inserted into the inside of the filtration unit 1, and the pump is operated to pump out and discharge the water in the filtration unit. In that case, water flows from the outside to the inside of the filter medium 1, and the dirt attached to the inner surface of the filter medium is separated from the filter medium and is discharged together with the water by the pump 10. By performing such backwashing operation from time to time, the number of times of troublesome disassembly and cleaning can be significantly reduced.
