Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the electrical connection between the center conductor of a coaxial connector and the inner wider surface of a waveguide with no soldering nor screwing by placing a holding member between a lock member provided on the inner wider surface of the waveguide and the tip of the center conductor of the coaxial connector. SOLUTION: A probe 5 is formed of a thin and elastic plate material and has a recess part at its upper edge center part. A notched part is formed at the tip of a center conductor 3 and can be interfit to the recess part of the probe 5. The other end of the probe 5 is locked by a lock member 4 which is provided on the inner wider surface of a waveguide 1. In such a constitution, the recess part of the probe 5 is interfit to the notched part of the conductor 3 at one of its both ends with the other end locked by the member 4 of the waveguide 1. Furthermore, the prove 5 can be elastically held between the notched part and the member 4 owing to the elasticity to the probe 5.

In Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 59-119607, one end of the transducer is screwed to the wide surface of the waveguide, and the other end of the transducer is brought into contact with the central conductor of the coaxial connector. A coaxial waveguide conversion structure is disclosed. In Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 59-11504, one end of a metal plate is soldered to the tip of a ridge, and the other end of the metal plate presses a strip conductor by the elasticity of the metal plate. A microstrip line converter configured to make an electrical connection is disclosed.

However, in one example of the conventional coaxial waveguide converter, it is necessary to carry out the connection work between the coaxial connector and the block within the waveguide, and in the case of soldering, the work is easy. It was not reliable. Further, in the case of screwing instead of soldering, in order to maintain contact, special processing such as material and construction method is required, resulting in a high price.

With this structure, the probe 5 has one end and the recess 5a fitted into the notch 3a of the central conductor 3 and the other end locked to the wide-width stopper 4 in the waveguide 1. Further, since an elastic body is used as the probe 5, the probe 5 is bent so as to be sandwiched (fitted) between the notch 3a and the stopper 4.
It is possible. Therefore, the probe 5 can be made difficult to come off.
