Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shut off a fluid in a pipe securely and simplify the repair work by constituting a branched saddle joint by a curved saddle section and a branch joint section, providing a groove which surrounds a branch hole on a rear surface of the saddle section, and mounting a seal packing on the groove. SOLUTION: A branched saddle joint 1 consists of a curved saddle section 11 and a branch joint section 12, and the saddle section 11 is formed at equal curvature to outer periphery of a pipe P1. A groove 13 which surrounds a branch hole communicating with the branch joint section 12 is provided on a rear surface of the saddle section 11, and a seal packing 2 is mounted on the groove 13. The pipe repair work is done by repairing a broken section of the pipe P1 temporarily, nipping the pipe P1 by the saddle section 11 of the branch saddle joint 1 which is branched on the downstream side and an auxiliary member 11a, and press-fitting the seal packing 2 on an outer peripheral face of the pipe. Each branched saddle joint 1 is connected by using bypass pipes, an air bag 4 is inserted into the pipe P1 from an air bag insertion port 31 to blow pressure fluid into it, and the inside of the broken section of the pipe is blocked. Fluid in the pipe flows by the bypass pipes to repair the broken section of the pipe P1.

Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a gas pipe line made of polyethylene or the like, when one portion of the pipe is damaged and a fluid leakage accident occurs in the pipe, the damaged portion is repaired without interrupting the flow of the fluid in the pipe. Is being done. This repairing method will be briefly described below with reference to FIGS. 4 to 7.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the upstream and downstream sides of the pipe P1 are squeezed to block the flow of fluid in the pipe, and the damaged portion A is cut off for a predetermined length and then cut off. The short pipe P3 is interposed in the portion. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7, the short pipe P3 and the cut end of the pipe P1 are connected through an exchange joint d, the squeeze c is released to remove the bypass pipe P2, and then the opening of the continuous gas joint a is established. However, in the case of this conventional method, when the diameter size of the pipe made of polyethylene or the like becomes large, it takes time and effort to squeeze the vicinity of the damaged portion, and the flow of the fluid in the pipe is completely eliminated. I couldn't shut it off. That is, since the pipe wall inevitably becomes thicker as the diameter size of the pipe increases, it may not be possible to completely block the flow of the fluid in the pipe simply by sandwiching the pipe from above and below and crushing it into a flat shape. In addition, there is a risk that the pipe may be broken due to cracks in the squeezed portion during long-term use. The present invention solves such a problem, and provides a branch saddle joint that can reliably shut off the flow of a fluid in a pipe to easily perform repair work.

When the saddle portion of the branch saddle joint is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the piping line during repair work, the seal packing attached to the curved surface of the saddle portion is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the pipe to ensure sealing performance. It In addition, by connecting an auxiliary member for a constant gas joint to the branch joint portion and inserting the air bag into the pipe through the auxiliary member and then inflating the same, the inside of the pipe near the damaged portion can be easily made by the air bag. Since it can be closed, repair work can be performed easily.

The branch saddle joint 1 of the present invention comprises a curved saddle portion 11 made of a synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride resin, polyethylene or polybutene, and a branch joint portion made of cast iron, gun metal or the like protruding from the upper surface of the saddle portion 11. 12 and the saddle portion 11 is curved and formed with a curvature substantially equal to the outer circumference of the pipe P1. A groove 13 is provided on a curved back surface of the saddle portion 11 so as to surround a branch hole communicating with the branch joint portion 12, and the seal packing 2 is attached to the groove 13. Further, the male screw 12 is provided at one end of the branch joint portion 12.
0 is provided. The branch saddle joint 1 can be manufactured, for example, by setting the branch joint portion 12 in a mold and injection molding a molten resin.

When repairing a pipe using the branch saddle joint 1, a tape or the like is wound around the damaged portion of the pipe P1 in advance to perform a temporary repair as described in the conventional method (see FIG. 4). reference). Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the branch saddle joint 1 of the present invention is connected to the upstream side and the downstream side of the pipe P1 approaching the damaged portion. At this time, the pipe P1 is held between the saddle portion 11 of the branch saddle joint 1 and the auxiliary member 11a, and the seal packing 2 attached to the back surface of the saddle portion 11 can be pressure-tightly connected to the outer peripheral surface of the pipe for airtight connection. .

Next, the auxiliary member 3 of the uninterrupted gas joint is connected to the branch joint portion 12 of each branch saddle joint 1, and a cutter (not shown) inserted in the auxiliary member 3 penetrates the pipe wall of the pipe P1. After forming the holes, the respective branch saddle joints 1 and 1 are connected by a bypass pipe P2. And
The air bag 4 is inserted into the pipe P1 from the air bag insertion port 31, and the pressure fluid is blown from the conduit 41 to inflate the air bag 4 to close the inside of the pipe near the damaged portion.

The air bag 4 is located inside the pipe near the damaged portion.
When blocked by, the in-pipe fluid such as gas in the pipe P1 flows through the bypass pipe P2. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, the damaged portion of the pipe P1 is cut over a predetermined length, and the short pipe P3 is interposed in the cut portion to exchange the short pipe P3 with the cut end of the pipe P1. After connecting using the joint 5, the airbag 4 is removed.
