Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent adverse influence exerted on the other electric wire by shortening a laying cord dimension of a wire harness while preventing damage or the like. CONSTITUTION: A wire harness installing tool is composed of a holding member 12 and a guide member 13. The holding member 12 is arranged between an alternator 3 and a vehicle front panel 6. The guide member 13 is fixed to the vehicle body side of the alternator 3 or the like, and slidably guides the holding member 12 in the direction for crossing a straight line connecting both end parts of an excess length part 7 by following extensile-contractile motion of the excess length part 7 caused by a movement of an engine 2.

However, when the wire harness W / H is routed from the front alternator directly to the vehicle body panel as described above, when the engine of the automobile is started,
When the vehicle suddenly starts or suddenly stops, the engine 2 slightly moves due to inertia (about 30 mm), so that the alternator 3 moves in conjunction with the engine, and a pulling force is applied to the wire harness W / H connected to the alternator 3. There is a risk that the wire harness may break due to the action. If the wire harness is slackened so that the wire is not broken even if the pulling force is applied, the wire harness may interfere with peripheral members in a narrow space in front of the engine and the vehicle body, and the wire harness may be damaged. It was Therefore, conventionally, as shown in FIG. 6, it has been unavoidable to route the wire harness by detouring to the rear side.

The guide member 13 is formed by bending a plate material into a substantially U-shaped cross section and extending so that the opposite edges 21 approach each other at a predetermined interval to form a rail portion 22.
Is curved so as to have an arc shape in a plan view (see FIG. 2). The shaft portion 15 of the holding member 12 is slidably arranged on the rail portion 22. That is, the edge portion 21 forming the rail portion 22 is located in the guide groove 20 formed over the entire circumference of the shaft portion 15, and the holding member 12 can be slidably and rotatably guided. Further, from the center of the inner surface of the guide member 13, the mounting piece 2
3 is extended and a through hole 23a is bored there, so that it can be screwed to the alternator 3. However, the fixing method to the alternator 3 may be any method other than screwing, welding, adhesion, or the like. Furthermore, both ends of the guide member 13 are closed by the lids 24.

In the fixture 11 having the above structure, first,
The tubular portion 14 of the holding member 12 holds the extra length portion 7 of the wire harness W / H located between the alternator 3 and the vehicle front panel 6 at a substantially central portion. Then, the holding member 12 is slidably attached to the guide member 13. That is, both ends of the guide member 13 are closed by the lids 24 so that the edge portion 20 forming the rail portion 22 of the guide member 13 is positioned in the guide groove 20 of the holding member 13. However, with the holding member 12 and the guide member 13 assembled, the holding member 12 may hold the extra length portion 7 of the wire harness W / H.

Thereafter, the guide member 13 is screwed and fixed to the alternator 3 by utilizing the through hole 23a formed in the mounting piece 23. In this case, the rail portion 22 of the guide member 13
However, as shown in FIG. 3, the wire harness W / H is located on the circumference around the connection part A with the alternator 3 and one end of the wire harness W / H from the connection part A and the front panel 6 of the vehicle. It should be positioned on a straight line connecting the protrusion B. Also,
In normal times, that is, when the engine 2 is in the normal position, the holding member 12 is positioned at the center of the rail portion 22 of the guide member 13.

The fixture 11 assembled in this way
Then, if the engine 2 moves due to a sudden start or a sudden stop of the vehicle, it operates as follows. That is, when the engine 2 is moved backward by suddenly starting the vehicle, the distance between the engine 2 and the vehicle front panel 6 is increased, a pulling force acts on the wire harness W / H, and the holding member 12 is moved to the position shown in FIG. As shown in a), the rail portion 22 of the guide member 13
To move toward the vehicle front panel 6 side. Therefore, the extra length portion 7 of the wire harness W / H expands,
Problems such as disconnection due to an unreasonable load applied to the connecting portion of the alternator 3 can be avoided.

On the other hand, when the engine 2 moves forward due to a sudden stop of the vehicle or the like, the distance between the engine 2 and the vehicle front panel 6 becomes narrow, and the slack in the extra length portion 7 of the wire harness W / H becomes large. The holding member 12 is shown in FIG.
As shown in, the guide member 13 is slid to move away from the straight line connecting the connecting portion A of the wire harness W / H with the alternator 3 and the protruding portion B of the vehicle front panel 6. That is, since the holding member 12 moves while being regulated by the guide member 13, the extra length portion 7 does not loosen and come into contact with other members, and the damage thereof is prevented.

In the above embodiment, the fixture 11 is screwed to the alternator 3, but it may be fixed by another method such as welding. Further, the fixing place may be another member, for example, a portion extending from the vehicle front panel 6. Further, the fixing direction is such that the holding member slides in the horizontal plane, but it may be in any direction (for example, in the vertical plane).

Further, in the above embodiment, the cylindrical portion 14 of the holding member 12 has a split structure which opens and closes around the hinge 16, but it may be formed as shown in FIG. That is, the tubular portion 25 includes a lock receiving portion 26 formed on the upper portion of the shaft portion 15, and the belt-shaped portion 2 extending from the lock receiving portion 26.
7 and 7. The lock receiving portion 26 has a rectangular frame cross section, and a lock receiving piece 26a is provided on the inner surface of the lock receiving portion 26 in a protruding manner.
The free end of the band-shaped portion 27 has a sawtooth shape, and the locking receiving portion 2
A plurality of locking pieces 27a, which are locked to the locking receiving pieces 26a in a state of being inserted into the inside of 6, are formed on one surface (see FIG. 5). As a result, the strip-shaped portion 27 is connected to the wire harness W.
Despite the outer diameter of / H, it can be wound around the outer peripheral portion in a close contact state.

As is apparent from the above description, according to the first aspect of the invention, the holding member for holding the wire harness is provided on the vehicle body side even if the engine moves back and forth due to a sudden start, a sudden stop, or the like. Since the guide member fixed to the above is slid to allow bending and stretching of the extra length portion, an unreasonable load is not applied to the wire harness, so that the wire is not broken. Further, since the sliding range of the holding member is regulated by the guide member, it is possible to avoid a problem that the extra length portion is slackened in an unnecessary place and is damaged by coming into contact with another member. Therefore, the wire harness can be disposed between the engine and the vehicle front panel, and the length can be significantly shortened as compared with the conventional one, and the cost and the influence of noise generated from the alternator can be suppressed. According to the second aspect of the invention, the holding member is slidable by locating the edge portion of the guide member in the guide groove provided on the shaft portion of the holding member over the entire circumference. When the extra length portion of the wire harness bends and stretches, the holding member rotates following the shape of the extra length portion, and the wire harness does not have a problem such as twisting.
