Description

ないステアリングコラム間の電気信号線の中継手段にお

いずれか一方に放射状に突設された複数個の突起と、こ
れに対応して他方の端面に形成された複数個のU溝とを

4は図示しないターンシグナルスイッチをステアリング
ホイールの回転に応じて中立位置に復帰させるためのキ
ャンセルカムである。ステアリングホイール1はボス部
1aで図示しないステアリングシャフトに固定され、キャ
ンセルカム4は図示しないばねによって上方に付勢され
てその上端のピン5をボス部1aの係合穴に係合してステ
アリングホイール1と共に回動するようになっている。
中継手段2は固定側ケース2a内に渦巻き状のコイルテー
プ導電体2bを備えた周知の構造のものであり、ステアリ
ングホイール1に設けられるホーンスイッチを固定側の
ステアリングコラム側に電気的に接続している。6はコ
ラムカバーである。 11は回動部材3の下端内側に軸心に向けて複数個放射
状に突設された突起、12は突起11に対応してキャンセル
カム4の上端面に放射状に形成されたU溝であり、この
突起11とU溝12の組み合わせによって係合部13が構成さ
れている。そして突起11はU溝12の底に向いた側、この
実施例では下側、が細くなるように両端面の下半分を傾
斜させて傾斜面11aを形成してあり、またU溝12はその
両端縁すべてに面取りを施してアール部12aを形成して
ある。なおこの部分の構造によっては、逆に突起11がキ
ャンセルカム4に、U溝12が回動部材3にそれぞれ設け
られる場合もある。 この実施例は上述のような構成であり、ステアリング
ホイール1が回動されるとキャンセルカム4が共に回動
し、この回動は係合部13により回動部材3に伝達され
る。従って、回動部材3が回動してコイルテープ導電体
2bがこれに追随して適当に変形し、電気的接続はステア
リングホイール1の回動位置に関係なく保たれることに
なる。 ここで、突起11の両側面が傾斜面11aとなっているの
で、第5図(a)のように軸心間に傾きθ1が生じて
も、傾斜面11aを設けた分だけ突起11の側面の下縁がU
溝12に当たりにくくなり、U溝12との間でこじれが発生
することがなくなる。またU溝12は両端縁がアール部12
aとなっているので、第5図(b)のように突起11の方
向に軸心に対する傾きθ2が生じても、アール部12aと
なっている分だけ突起11の側面がU溝12に当たりにくく
なり、U溝12との間でこじれが発生することがなくな
る。従って、部品の寸法誤差や作業のバラツキ等によっ
て回動部材3とキャンセルカム4の間に傾きや偏心が生
ずるようなことがあっても、きしみ音が出たり係合部13
が破損したりするようなこじれの発生が避けられるので
