Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the movement, storage and drying of a coating film by applying a releasable coating film-forming coating material on the surface of a substrate and sticking a sheet immediately after coating or while the coating film is still adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A releasable coating film-forming coating material 9 is uniformly applied on a substrate 1 consisting of a PVC plastic sheet, etc., with a spray gun 5. A water-absorptive sheet 4 is laminated on the coated part or the coating film 12 immediately after coating. Kraft paper is used as the sheet 4. By such a constitution, the water in the film 12 is absorbed by the sheet 4 at the same time when the sheet is brought into contact with the coating material or the film 12. Accordingly, the fluidity of the film is reduced, and the coating material does not flow even if the coated surface is inclined, the releasable surface protecting material is tougher than the coating film itself, and the material is smoothly released.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Peelable coating formation is used as a method for protecting the surface of substrates such as synthetic resins, metals, ceramics, glass or wood from scratches or dirt. The method is being implemented. The typical first method is to apply a peelable coating film-forming coating material to the surface of a sheet such as a synthetic resin film or paper,
This is a method in which an adhesive coating film is formed on the surface of a sheet and the coating film of this sheet is attached to the surface of the substrate to be protected.
The second method is a method of applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material to the surface of the base material to be protected.

However, the first method has a drawback in that the coating on the sheet is complicated in coating, drying of the coating film, and winding and operation of the sheet. Moreover, due to the change with time of this coating film, the peeling of the sheets when sticking to the surface of the base material and the peeling of the sheet from the protected surface do not proceed smoothly, There was a limitation on the storage period before it was used for application. Further, in the second method, after the peelable coating film-forming coating material is applied to the surface of the substrate, it is necessary to keep the coating surface horizontal until the fluidity disappears, and the drying of the coating film is completed. Up to this point, there have been drawbacks such as the fact that substrates having a peelable coating cannot be stacked. And forced and / or hot air drying was required to accelerate the drying of the coating.

The present inventor has conducted various studies on a method for solving the drawbacks of these methods and maintaining the ease of peeling of the coated sheet. As a result, the present inventor has a method for applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material, particularly a water-based coating material, to a substrate, and then attaching a sheet onto the coating film, and a peelable coating film-forming coating material, particularly a water-based coating material, on the sheet. After applying the above, the method of sticking the formed coating film on the surface of the substrate to be protected was conceived. That is, the present invention can be applied by applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material to the surface of a base material, and pasting a sheet on the coating film immediately after coating or while the formed coating film is tacky. The present invention relates to a method for forming a peelable surface protective material. The present invention also comprises applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material to the surface of a sheet and applying the coating film to the surface of a substrate immediately after coating or while the formed coating film is tacky. It also relates to a method of forming a peelable surface protective material.

The peelable coating film-forming coating material used in the present invention may be any peelable coating film-forming coating material. The material is, for example, an aqueous emulsion of vinyl acetate, acrylate, vinyl chloride, urethane resin, etc., and is not particularly limited to these. The emulsion is produced by emulsion polymerization according to a conventional method or a suspension method using a microspherical polymer such as an emulsifier. However, the adhesive force of the coating film formed by these paints to the sheet is higher than the adhesive force to the surface of the base material to be protected, and only the surface of the base material to be protected when the coating film is peeled off has priority. It must not be sufficiently high to be peeled off.

[0009] In the former case of full surface coating, the sheet is placed on the coating film immediately after coating on the surface of the substrate or while the coating film is sticky, and then, if desired, the sheet is passed between pressure rolls. If desired, the protective surface from which the tackiness has disappeared is air-dried by bringing the coating film into close contact and then attaching a sheet. Immediately after coating (for example, roll coating) on the surface of the sheet or while the coating film has tackiness, the base material is brought into close contact with the surface of the coating film on the sheet, and then the sheet is pressed with a pressure roll if desired. The protective surface from which the tackiness has disappeared is air-dried as desired by bringing the coating film into close contact with the coating film and then further adhering a sheet.

In the latter case of partial coating, the sheet is placed on top of the coating immediately after coating on the surface of the substrate or while the coating is tacky, and then optionally pressed, for example with a rotating roll. By holding down the paint partially applied from the top of the sheet that was placed on the coating film by means of a sheet, the sheet can be adhered to the coating film, and it can be made thinner than the coating film thickness at the time of application to reduce the thickness of the coating film. There is a method of enlarging the coating film forming portion while thinning it. Immediately after coating (for example, offset coating) on the surface of the sheet or while the coating film is tacky, the base material is adhered onto the coating film, and then, if desired, a pressing means such as a rotating roll. The coating applied partially from the sheet on the base material that was affixed to the coating by means of the sheet holds the sheet in close contact with the coating, making it thinner than the coating thickness at the time of coating to reduce the coating thickness. At the same time, there is a method of enlarging the coating film forming portion. For this latter partial fill,
Since the surface is protected by both the sheet and the peelable coating film, there is an advantage that the amount of paint used can be saved.

When a sheet is pasted on the coating film, the water content in the coating material applied to the base material is absorbed by the sheet, so the fluidity of the coating film is significantly reduced, and the coating surface is leveled to avoid the flow of the coating material. No need to keep it. Further, after the sheet is placed on the coating film, it may be pressed by a pressure roll. As described above, after attaching the sheet, it may be dried by air drying if necessary. Further, when the peelable coating film-forming coating material is applied onto the sheet, the water content in the coating material is absorbed by the sheet, so that even if the sheet is tilted, the downward flow rate of the coating material decreases significantly. However, since the adhesive strength of the coating film is still maintained, the adhesion to the substrate proceeds smoothly and the peelable surface protective material is easily formed. When peeling the peelable surface protective material from the surface which is protected as desired, smooth peeling can be achieved by simply pulling the carrier substance which is a sheet.

According to the method of the present invention, the sheet is brought into contact with the applied coating or the coating on the substrate, and at the same time, the water in the applied coating is absorbed in the sheet, so that the fluidity of the coating is remarkably increased. Even if the coating surface is tilted, the paint does not flow, and the subsequent work such as movement, storage or drying can be made very easy. Further, the peelable surface protective material formed by the method of the present invention, the peelable coating film is attached to the sheet, the peelable surface protective material is tougher than the coating film itself, peeling It can be done smoothly. Therefore, the reduction of the tensile strength due to the reduction of the thickness of the peelable coating film or the property thereof can be reinforced by this sheet, so that the peeling can be easily performed. In addition, the amount of paint used can be saved by partially applying the peelable paint to the protected surface of the substrate.

EXAMPLES The present invention will be described with reference to the following examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Example 1: (See FIG. 3) A peelable coating film-forming coating material [Acrylic peelable coating film-forming coating material CX-1166, manufactured by Totatsu Kasei Co., Ltd.] was used with a spray gun to obtain an air pressure of 4 kg. / Cm 2 was evenly applied to the surface of the PVC plastic plate to a thickness of 20 μm. Immediately after coating, kraft paper [Daio Paper Co., Ltd., Daioh Atlas K-50, thickness about 9/100 mm] as a water-absorbent sheet was overlaid and left for 24 hours, and then the kraft paper was peeled off. The coating film in which the coating film was integrated could be peeled off. At this time, the peel strength between the base material and the peelable coating film is 5.3.
Since the kraft paper used at this time had a breaking strength of 340 g / mm or more, peeling could be easily performed. Further, no peeling between the kraft paper and the coating film was observed. As a comparative test, a coating film was formed under the same conditions as above, and the same conditions as above were used without placing the kraft paper
After leaving for 4 hours, the coating film was tried to be peeled off, but it was difficult to peel off smoothly because the coating film was cut immediately.

EFFECT OF THE INVENTION By directly applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material on the surface of a substrate to be protected, and by superimposing sheets carrying the coating film immediately after coating or while the coating film has tackiness, The coating surface could be inclined and the time required for peeling could be greatly shortened. And, unlike conventional methods, it does not require drying equipment such as forced and / or hot air drying, which is required to quickly remove the tackiness of the exposed coating film surface and shorten the time until it can be tilted. Became. Moreover, the peelable surface protective material integrated with the sheet functions similarly to a conventional protective film obtained by applying a peelable coating film-forming coating material on a sheet. That is, even if the tensile strength is small, the tensile strength of the sheet reinforces it due to the very thin thickness of the peelable coating film and the characteristics of the coating film (easiness of folding due to low tensile strength or high hardness). Therefore, it can sufficiently function as a peelable surface protective material. And the protective film which applied the paint for peelable coating film formation on the conventional sheet,
After storage for a long time, there is a problem that it is difficult to peel off the rolled film from each other due to the deterioration of the coating film over time, and it becomes difficult to attach it to the protective surface, so the storage time is limited. However, such a problem has been solved by the method of the present invention. Further, in order to produce a protective film, a series of operations such as coating, drying, rolling, storing, storing, transporting and sticking to a protective surface was required, but in the method of the present invention, coating and coating are performed. Alternatively, since the work involves only sticking to the protective surface and air-drying as desired, the effect is great in terms of shortening the work. Furthermore, when applying a paint partially on the surface of the material to be protected and pasting the sheet,
Or, when the paint is partially applied on the surface of the sheet and then pasted on the surface of the substrate to be protected, the surface can be protected by both the coating film and the sheet, so the amount of paint used can be saved. There is.
