6) with spacers 111 and 112 as shown in FIG.
Be combined with.
The diaphragm 110 has three layers as shown in FIG. 2A. Electrical
The conductive layer 221 is enclosed between the two electrically insulating layers 220 and 222.
The electrically conductive layer 221 may be one or more conductive layers (in this example, the layers
221 has a plurality of conductors forming a coil. -See Figure 5)
Have. In operation, electrically conductive layer 221 is suspended in an electromagnetic field. Conductivity
When an electric current flows through the body, both a magnetic field and an electrostatic field are generated around each conductor. This
These fields interfere with the electromagnetic field on which the diaphragm is suspended, and
Towards the front or back of the transducer depending on the direction and magnitude of the flow
Produces force to displace the diaphragm. The mechanical movement of this diaphragm is conductive
Move the surrounding air to produce a voice signal in response to an electrical signal applied to the body
Therefore, the transducer operates as a loudspeaker. This transducer
The smaller one can be used in headphones.
This embodiment of the transducer, without any modifications,
Diamonds caused by ambient sound vibration of the surrounding air
It is possible to generate an electrical signal based on the displacement of the flam. In this case the electromagnetic field
The displacement of the conductor induces a current in the conductor. These two modes of operation are large
Common to some electromagnetic transducers. To simplify the discussion below
We will only discuss the modes in which the electrical input signal causes the displacement of the diaphragm,
Transducers can be used to generate electrical signals, and thus other uses.
Having a break (ie use as a microphone) should be kept in mind
